We were very disappointed after reading the good reviews on Google… and then we were told that this establishment had been sold a few years ago and now our experience makes sense. We were seated and had our menus open at 5:21 pm (my daughter took a picture for her social media). We didn’t receive any food until almost 6:30. When the food came we had to ask for cutlery and we were told we had to wait to get knives because they were in the dishwasher. We felt sorry for the wait staff- you could tell they were embarrassed. To add to this- management was not seen not walking around to check on tables.
When we finally got our food- let’s just say it was not good at all! The chippers and fries were the only good thing. The calamari was rushed and not done and the batter was soft and squishy. The battered fish had no taste, and the lobster sliders were definitely ‘off’ and tasted so funny that my daughter couldn’t eat them and stuck to her fries. My husbands burger was subpar and the bun looked like a cheap store bun that had been ripped apart. We had been looking forward to our dinner there but left dissatisfied- we are not complainers so we paid the bill and left. We will never go back again and after waiting a week we decided it was only right to let others know of our experience so that they have this in mind before they visit this place.

The food is really good! But man the wait to get in and get your food is terrible. We waited one hour to get seated and over an hour to get our food!! I mean it's not their fault. I blame the crappy town for having everything closed past 4pm!! Nothing is open other than this place.

Arrived at 5:25, was told a table would be 1/2 an hour. 1 hour 20 min later, we got our table. Front of house should know, roughly, how long it will take for a table to open up, so they either didn’t tell the truth or are incompetent. Food was ok but the restaurant seems badly understaffed, no ‘how’s your food’, no water, literally no one stopped by our table. The bar staff are good

Brutal!! Ignorant servers, including the management. The bar tender was decent.
Food took forever and they were out of rice of all things.
Eat elsewhere.

Great atmosphere, incredible food and the service was beyond impressive. Seemed the food was there in 5 mins of ordering and the wait staff was the most impressive i have ever seen. We werr treated like the most important people in there and i guarantee our neighboring patrons were equally impreesed! GO there. NOW! Really.

This is a hidden gem in Haliburton, Ontario! Food, service, and drinks were fantastic. Of all the times we’ve been in this area I’d Canada, this has become our favorite restaurant.

Food and service good. Dont go on kids day which I believe is Wednesday. Parents when we were there found it acceprable to let 4 boys wrestle up and down the aisle for our entire lunch. Washrooms are pristine. Staff super.

Good ambiance for the most part but that was it. Service was extremely slow. Waited at least over 30min for food. Water was not refilled for about 20 min. Food was not good. I got seafood linguine and I can tell the shrimps were from frozen and very bland. Mussels were overcooked. Sauce was watered down, watery, bland. My expectations were low but this was worse than Milestones/Jack Astor's. We were hoping to grab a quick dinner then drive back to Toronto but the wait was so long than we got back way later than expected.
