We were seated close to the fireplace at our request. Fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon. NFL football on TV to my surprise. Local brew was nice. Spinach dip, very good. I had fish and chips. My wife had poutin. All good. Recommended.

As you can see from the photos, the beer disappeared quickly. The views were an ocean of fall colors. Service was quick and friendly. Happy hour is a cost-effective marvel. I didn't try the food, I'm saving that for a subsequent visit.

It's A Dyer Thing
Monday 21th of Oct 1pm. Facility wasn't overly busy but with the nice weather and temps it was easy for Forcast attendance would be higher than usual and for one of the only pubs around open on a Monday unlike the neighboring restos, the short staff did ok. Took a few extra minutes to get seating and settled in but understandable for the 3 main crew juggling all the customers. Food was good, service once sat was great. Freshness was there. overall very pleased with the experience and atmosphere. 3 meals consisted of Rueben on rye, beef burger and halibut fish & chips. Thank you and be proud of the service provided considering the consequences of a busy establishment.
Expect a long wait to get in & then a longer wait to get your food. Very disappointed with the service overall. Won't be returning to this diner.

I’m a little upset with my experience. I ordered two pizzas for take out, one with meat and one without because I am a vegetarian but my kids are not. Once we got back to our rental and opened the pizza boxes I noticed both had pepperoni on them so I double checked my order and a mistake was made on the restaurants behalf. No big deal, I tried calling several times but no answer. So I drove down and they are not answering the door and put the closed sign on early. I essentially paid for an entire pizza I can’t eat, that also has toppings I like but my kids won’t eat. It smells delicious and looks really good but I don’t know for certain if it tastes good. Giving one star since I won’t be getting a resolution to this issue and I’m leaving to head back home tomorrow. Make sure you check your order before you leave!

Really nice little spot in downtown haliburton, and the food was really good and decent portions. My only complaint is the prices… kinda high for pretty basic “pub food” I will give them some grace and say it’s probably because they’re busy time is the summer and I could imagine it gets slow during the rest of the year. Overall it’s a nice little joint and the food great, just a little pricy
