I've been to this restaurant a number of times over the years, but only two or three times since the renovations. It's been a favourite of my grandpa's and his neighbours'. I understand why, and will return.
Last night, we stopped for supper before going to the casino.
The previous time I was there, I got wings. They were quite good, but I ordered the wrong sauce for one pound. That's on me.
This time, I ordered the teriyaki stir fry and a side of fries. Both were good but, given the prices, were too small in size. The stir fry came in a relatively small tilted bowl, and lacked a large amount of vegetables. The rice was pretty plentiful, and it tasted good, but it's too small.
The fries arrived in a small frying basket. They were pretty good, but not homemade which is ok. However, for $5 there weren't enough.
My grandpa seemed to enjoy his pasta. His partner liked her lemon chicken, but said she won't order it again. Apparently some of the mashed potatoes (which didn't look that appealing) were cold. That is, despite it taking a while for the food to come out. The fries arrived a third to halfway through our meal.
Both got more food than I did, and I'm much younger.
I like this restaurant and want it to do well. They have good food, and know how to charge. The portions just don't match the prices.

Hubby discovered this place the other day whilst on his travels and enjoyed "the best breakfast sandwich ... the best ...". So, we brought the family here today so he could enjoy breakfast again. The kids were very happy with their big breakfasts. I have been looking for a new place to have my Eggs Benny and I have found it!! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. The best home fries to accompany a very good eggs benny.
And, now I see from other reviews that you have live entertainment. Well, Gosh, Golly, Gee, Whiz - I need to check that out too!

Just had the best chicken Slovakia sandwich I have ever had . I ordered it and my mistake didn’t realize it had olives. They remade it for me and it was a 10 out of 10. Food and service is awesome. You won’t be disappointed.

Got the taco special of the day! Very filling and only 10.99. Our server, Luke, was great. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

We have always loved Hampton Bar & Grill - but recently that’s changed. We have given it a few “second chances” recently but unfortunately - they haven’t been living up to the standard they originally set! food is just missing the mark. We used to LOVE their feta bruschetta and now 4 times of ordering it - we were disappointed each time, the chicken in the butter chicken was so over cooked it was like cardboard. Last night we went and It started with me ordering soda water with lemon and lime, they were out of lemon so my waitress gave me two lime instead- that was ok. Then I asked what types of tea they had, peppermint was one offered, or I ordered that - our waitress came back and said they were also out of that - fine that’s ok I guess, I got something else. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and “crispy” bacon(which you pay extra for) The bacon was floppy and not at all crispy, there was lots of cheese which was great - but the “garlic” part of it wasn’t really present. My significant other ordered the fish and chips - the server confirmed he was ok with the fries and coleslaw and he was. He got his dinner - fish pieces were a good size, came with fries - but no coleslaw or - I asked our waitress about the coleslaw and they said they were out and offered some pico de gallo instead…not really what you would have with fish. No one told us that prior to the food arriving and me having to ask. In place of that - they put 2 carrots and 3 celery like you would get with wings. We’ve noticed a big decrease in quality which we found disappointing as we always loved coming here for food but now we are going to need to find a new “fav” spot because it’s just not good anymore.
