They were closed before there mentioned hours on their website. Had to travel half an hour to get there just to know they are closed.

Fine food but weird experience. The server had a poor attitude, and they gave me two menus but they had DIFFERENT codes on them for the food items so the wrong things came… The server made it seem like my issue… Won’t be back.

Good food. Not the cleanest bathrooms, which isn’t something you want to notice when eating somewhere. For a buffet I wasn’t very impressed when they brought the bill after ordering dessert. Almost as if they were limiting how much you could get of the desserts, which again it’s a buffet so unsure of why they rush the bill out. When asked about it they said it’s just normal when you order the desserts that they stop taking any more orders from your table which I thought was weird.

I went here for dinner on a Friday night with a friend and it was a great experience! I usually order takeout from here with my co-workers and decided I wanted to dine in for once. We were greeted right away and I do like how the seating are pretty much all booths, as it makes it more comfortable. It wasn’t too busy and I did like the ambience. I love the variety with a couple of Thai items and a few dim sum items as well. The food arrived very quickly and the servers checked in on multiple times and they refilled our drinks consistently 👌🏻. The are very generous with their portions and have thick cuts on their sashimi, which I appreciate. Their eel sushi is actually 100% eel and not 90% cucumber and 10% eel like other places (you know where). I have been to most of the sushi spots in Hamilton, and I would say Atami has the highest quality. Our staples were the addicting cheese wontons, salmon/avocado rolls, Atami special rolls, and garlic steak bites. The only minor inconvenience was that they only have one terminal to pay and that’s at the front desk, so I can see line ups on busier days. Overall, I would still rate it 10/10 and I would come back.

My friends and I come here all the time, the sushi absolutely hits the spot everytime, it’s nice that the servers don’t bug you too much, it’s never insanely busy

Great value and you get a lot of food items with the Bento box. I have been getting the beef short ribs bento box. It comes with soup, salad, salmon sushi, white tuna sushi, Maki roll, gyzoa, beef short ribs.

Food was kind of mid, somethings like takoyaki and squid tempura is clearly not what you'd expect normally, in a bad way...The takoyaki is deep fried or way overcooked i cant even tell, its actually pretty hard, and has close to no sauce or anything sprinkled on top, 2/10 it's bad. the calamari tempura is even worse, its literally bread crumb coated deep fried squid, that is not tempura batter. You can probably buy the same thing at costco and air fried it, 1/10 not recommended.
Worst of all is the forced tips, they just charged you tips without even asking. Yeah that does not work with me, I will not be returning.

They charge you 13% service fee. Not mentioned till on the bill. That's not right.
Fresh, Flavorful, and Fantastic!
We recently had a fantastic meal at Tami Sushi and couldn't wait to share our experience. This place is a real find!
The food was incredibly tasty. Everything we ordered was clearly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The rolls, like the ones pictured (including the beautiful hand-rolled temaki cones and the more traditional maki rolls), were well-made and bursting with flavor—we honestly didn't need to drench them in soy sauce to enjoy them. We especially loved the crunchy tempura and the small appetizer plates we tried. The salmon nigiri looked wonderfully fresh as well.
Beyond the delicious sushi, we were very impressed with how clean the restaurant was. The dining area was tidy, and the presentation of all the dishes was immaculate, which always makes for a better dining experience.
If you're looking for a great place to eat that offers delicious, fresh Japanese food in a clean and pleasant environment, we highly recommend Tami Sushi. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

We stopped into Atami this past weekend. We have been here several times over the years and have had good experiences each time. The pricing is similar to other sushi restaurants in the area. Service was good, very attentive and quick. The food has always been good here, this visit was no different. There are many different options and styles of sushi, sashimi and other tasty side dishes to choose from. Definitely a favourite is the BBQ eel and crab rolls. Definitely, if you are in the area and if you are looking to fix a sushi craving, try out Atami.

Sushi was ok, taste was ok, freshness was ok, presentation was great, sashimi > not that great at all; many parts were too tough to chew and swallow.
