Love the soup - chicken vegetable! Great service. Comforting ambiance. ? Recommend sitting at the back. Very cozy and quiet.
I visited this establishment recently and went in for a medium latte about 15 min. to close (hrs. 8:00am-3:00pm, closed Sundays). I was greeted by one employee with "just so you know, we close in 15 min.!" No welcome to Ashanti, or hi, how are you today?, we do close soon, but please have a seat.... There was a total of 12 people inside at the time of my visit which is probably 1/2 capacity. I sat down anyway for the time it took to have my latte, about 25 minutes. Upon leaving, we asked why they didn't stay open past 3:00, and both staff stated that they were never very busy after 3:00pm. We stated that perhaps if they tried to slowly expand their hours, maybe they would get busier. They argued again that it wasn't worth it. One would think that after being forcibly closed by the pandemic for 2 yrs., that having your coffee shop half full at 3:00 during the start of a work week, that your business hours should maybe be reviewed by Management. It's worth noting that with 3 large fast food chains on either end of town, that this establishment has a lovely inside, and central to the downtown, but with limited hours and unwelcoming staff, those may be the true reasons why they may not be busier. I will always advocate for small businesses, but only if they make you feel welcome and not like you're a burden. I won't be returning.
Great atmosphere, unfortunately the hours and attitude are less than desirable, Close at 3:00pm and felt like we were an inconvenience because they wanted to close. Won’t be returning.
Very busy so service was fast and not time for pleasantries. No good...just coffee. I had an ordinary regular coffee...which was delicious. I was in a back bright room near an outside door for my book club with 10 of us. I was cold ad the cold air entered everytime someone entered of exited.I shall return.
Ashanti (Internet Cafè) is a very good place to buy lunch - baked foods, sandwiches & 4 selections of coffee. The ladies do a great job serving and helping their customers and there's a very cozy & relaxing atmosphere where parents can bring their home schooled kids to learn & study, without distractions. I usally go there to enjoy a good cup of coffee (I find Timmies has a bitter after taste!) and the towns folk love going there to chat or surf the net.Eat in / Take out & open till 3 pm.
Parking: Parking is around the back of the place.

Had a quick meeting here in their back room and it worked out well. Coffee was good and the room was comfortable and relatively private.
