We moved to Hanover 4 years ago and were so pleased to hear about Match. We love the food and atmosphere ... our guests are always impressed. We had a lovely time ... our 2 sons took us out ... my husband's birthday was on the Saturday, and Mothers Day was Sunday ... a double whammy ... we were stuffed when we left. Service is always fantastic ... really enjoy going and will always come back. Steak was excellent, drinks were excellent, Veg Burger was best I ever had, husband loved the pepperoni pizza, ribs and chicken were delicious and mini burger and fries were perfect ... again, you can't go wrong here ... have never had a problem. Love, love, love it there .... thank you all so much.

As usual we love it here, everyone is so friendly. The next part does not reflect the service I received because we had a great time. I however did notice 5 employees running the bar/floor and the greeter at the door. On this date the greeter was turning people away (not enough staff). I get it but there was space at the bar (with a very capable bartender doing his job great) and lots of tables open, I get that there's a lot of running for the servers and not enough staff BUT with in 15 min more then 5 tables cleared out and a few from the bar with in the hour the whole back was empty other then a table or 2.

The “happy hour” items used to be great! The items have increased in price, but now there is also less food. Disappointing! I didn't mind paying $4 for a small portion, but now it's $6.50 and like I said smaller portions.

I wasn't happy with my experience. My food was cold. The sauce was sitting on the bottom of my plate and not mixed into my pasta My server did not ask or give us any condiments and he also did not check in to see how we were doing once !!

Ordered fish and chips. Thick doughy batter. I'm sure there was fish in there somewhere.Staff are friendly and attentive. Not very good value. If you're there for the slot machines and want something to eat then fine.

Coupon time at Match Eatery and Casino last night.Little disappointing on a night when reminiscing.Last time we were here was with Mum when she was still with us at the end of last year. Mum treated us two kids to dinner with our better halves. Sadly at that time she took most of hers to go as she had no appetite. Food was enjoyable and no complaints.I haven't written many bad reviews as I'm generally easy to please and can accept some lapses. Yesterday though I had the "Godfather" meatball sub and need to highlight the meal. First take time and review the picture below. Are you inspired for that at $18.95 plus tax?A separate Italiano menu. Wow, I thought. I was hog washed into thinking something spectacular might be forthcoming.Honestly I'm not hard to please but seriously it should be named the "Poorman" sub. No peppers, no onion and I might guess it contained pre-made frozen bagged meatballs and it tasted like someone cracked open a can of Hunts ninety nine cent pasta sauce. (No judgement to fans) Or maybe it was "Catelli"? All on a small uninspired bun. Also was that bagged grated cheese? Might recommend the inclusion of some nice melted provolone slices instead. Finally it was all unceremoniously ladled onto the bun to ooze and drip out everywhere. Why not cut out a cavity and recess the meatballs into it for ease of dining. I'm not shucking down a chili cheese dog at the ball game with a cold one in my hand in the concourse. I implore the kitchen manager to try the dish. Past the overpowering tomato sauce you cannot taste a mention of any of the inclusions you state it is cooked in or with. Maybe there wasn't even Aioli or any mayonnaise under there. I couldn't tell due to the taste.Who said you couldn't mess up fries? I think when my first sub rolled into view across the floor of the restaurant and they made me a new one, I didn't get fresh fries. Rather I think my original fries got put under the plate warmer to wilt away gracefully.Biggest pet peeve if all else has gone awry with a seating. .. Never serve luke warm water to a tea drinker. Fail. My wife's shrimp and alfredo pasta was good to the point she cleaned her plate. Either really good, she was starving, or trying to make a point I don't take her out to eat too much coz I'm cheap. ?My gran would say frugal, but nah, I'm cheap. ?I'm going to go with the dish was tasty and not overly cheesy like some versions. Our server Olivia was quick, prompt and courteous, albeit we were ahead of the evening dining or drinking crowd, so not much of a challenge. She readily apologized that my sub went for an adventure across the floor but it was probably a good thing that she missed checking in with us as to our contentment with the food and the opportunity for me to express my disappointment. The food wasn't worth the price. Management and kitchen fault not the wait staff. Especially comparing to previous visits and when it was a limited time menu item by all appearance. Please don't add it as a regular item unless you fix it.

Always enjoy going to the Match! Great service and great atmosphere with delicious food and beverage! If anything I'd like to see the menu changed up a little! But a minor detail :)

Restaurant is nice. Noise level low. Service was good. I ordered half blackened chicken, half ribs, and fries. The ribs were good. The chicken was pretty dry. The french fries were absolutely disgusting & there were very few. Obviously fries fries had been made about 15 minutes prior to the rest of the meal being ready & were mixed with 50% fries that were at least an hour old as they were mostly old, cold, dried out. The cornbread wasn't great. My wife ordered Shrimp Alfredo. Shrimp were amazing but there were only four on the order. The pasta and Alfredo sauce were absolutely completely flavorless. The piece of garlic toast that came with her meal was replaced by waitress as it was awful. Cold and old. She didn't enjoy her meal at all. I had a spicy Caesar and requested light ice. It was very good but should be for nine dollars. Wife ordered a Caesar as well with light ice and little spice. Her drink had lots of ice and was too spicy. Tried to use $10 off coupon that was handed out at Christmas time and was refused use as it was only redeemable in the month of January. So to the garbage it went. Pretty disappointed for Valentine's Day February 14, 2024 meal out. $80 tab. Wasn't worth half that.

Our witness was horrible which was disappointing as we have had her many times. We had to ask girl that meets ppl for boxes to pack out stuff up then ask her for the bill. Also then after she told our waitress we needed the bill we watched her socialization with other staff I took our food out to our truck before my wife even paid. We love this place and drive hr for date night every Friday and last night was horrible. Food is always good

My two sisters had the French onion soup with garlic bread and cheese. I had the twin car hop burgers with fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back.

A bit disappointed that the Hostess didn't fully read my reservation table request for a booth seat, and was placed at a table. I let it slide, as restaurant was very busy (hence, reservation made in advance), and we decided to be seated at table. The food was great, it was their 'special wing night' and the local draft beer made it that much more enjoyable. Great service and great dinner atmosphere too, in a lively environment. Match Eatery is our favourite dining experience in Hanover.

My husband and I tried the new burgers! I had the "No Reservations" and hubby had the "Big Onion Dip" Both were excellent! I particularly liked the bun on mine, very light! Of course the service was, as always, the best!
