I've heard about this place for years, but now that we have to travel past it heading to our trailer, we make it a regular stop. Whether for a quick order of fries or poutine, or a full meal, or for their HUGE ice cream comes, Cedar Rail is well worth the stop!! Only request I could make has nothing to do with the restaurant itself- the parking lot has washed away from the highway, leaving a height difference from asphalt to their gravel- it's quite the bump especially leaving their lot. That's it.

The burger was a bit plain ,but hey , it's nothing a little hot sauce can't fix .
Nice seating area plus a little park for kids , overall a nice spot to check out

The service and worker was great! But this review is solely based on the “Famous Footlong” hotdog.
The hot dog was actually terrible and was not even 12” in length. It was about 10” after actually measuring. On top of that, it was one of those thin Shopsy-like hot dogs and not one of those thick hotdogs you usually order from street meat vendors.
I debated between the burger and hotdog but the “famous” footlong made me believe that it was something special on their menu. But I was completely wrong. There is nothing that makes it special at all.
I highly suggest you avoid the hot dog at all costs and grab the burger instead. My

Nice place to grab lunch on the go. I had the foot long and onion rings. Will probably get a burger next time but the rings were perfect. The ice cream servings are huge!

Small ice cream cone has about 14 scoops...not a typo! It's HUGE for $3.25!
Burgers were good 8/10 rating. Battered mushrooms also good!
Would highly recommend. Best burger I've had in a while. The patty was juicy and meaty, the bun was high quality. Great ratio of condiments and toppings. Very satisfying. Also, the French fries are ruffled and crispy, but also not too dry or oily. Lots of outdoor seating with trees for shade. Big parking lot.

They aren't overly glad to see you like you're bothering the waitress. Prices are kind of expensive for anything, and nothing is cooked very well, fried onions on my footlong weren't cooked at all, just warm.
