We were driving to Calgary from Toronto and spent a night at Air-Dale Fishing &Hunting and we’re told about this gem of a restaurant in Hawk Junction. The service was amazing. A lovely and entertaining place with our grandchildren. The portions were huge! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. Thank you for the awesome service!
Kid-friendliness: Colouring for the kids and their pictures were taped on the wall. There are also real heads of black bears that were shot in 1980 on the walls so the kids weee really impressed by them!
Parking: Right in front of the restaurant.
Dietary restrictions: We are vegetarians and there was pizza, nachos, fries and salad on the menu.

I’ve eaten here a few times when visiting family in Hawk. The food is excellent and if I were younger I might be able to finish it. The service depends on how busy they are but Jackie is a lovely person and the food is worth any wait. In and around Wawa…the Bear is hands down the place to go.

We had a burger and an open faced sandwich and they were both delicious. I look forward to going to the restaurant next year to try some of the other menu items. I have heard the fish is very good. The service was good and enjoyed visiting with the other customers. I even ran into a guy in the restaurant that I met in Wawa years ago but had not seen him in a couple years. The owner even came and visited with the customers?
