From the minute I contacted Bill at Algonquin Cafe about an offsite catering opportunity for 60 people he was professional and responsive. There was great communication throughout the process. Bill quickly suggested a draft menu of 5 dishes that was spot on my needs and the cost was within the budget. The catering was delivered well in advance, removing any last minute concerns about not having food when the guests showed up. Everything was displayed well and the portions were generous. The quality and taste of all items was outstanding. Bill is a hard working guy that’s making it happen for his small business. He cares about making sure you’re happy. Thanks to Bill and his Team we had a successful event!!

Coming out of Algonquin Provincial Park we needed some breakfast. Our objective is usually to find a nice, homey independent spot rather than the corporate offerings. To support small business, and let’s face it, most of the ‘chains’ are garbage food. So as we passed two Tim Horton’s and a McDonald’s in Huntsville we continued south on Main Street until we arrived at the Algonquin Cafe and Deli. And I’m glad we did. Easy to get to, easy to park, cheery owner behind the counter, and pretty darn good food. The only drawback was I wish I was staying for lunch, as the brisket and other smoked meat looked and smelled heavenly. I had a toasted western with a nice juicy dill pickle, my wife had a grilled cheese, and all washed down with some pretty darn good coffee. We’ll be back!

The hot dog was over cooked, the fries were cold. I will not being going back.
Ate a deliciously prepared meal today. The french fries were probably the best i have ever had as were the perogies. The homemade baked beans were very tasty as well. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. We had requested the perogies but were informed they ran out. We were going to order another item but the owner insisted on fulfilling our order. He actually left in his van and returned 10 minutes later with perogies which he cooked up for us and threw a several extra in given the wait, eventhough we didnt mind at all. The pergoies were well worth the wait that's for sure. As we carried our plates outside to the patio area, the owner even held the door for us and then took our dishes from us as we re-enteredthe cafe after our meal. I certainly didnt expect the over and above service and friendly staff which made our experience even more enjoyable. Please try this place out and support the local business. You will get delicious food with friendly and quality service.

We both had the brisket sandwich which were both amazing, fries were decent and had delicious maple aioli to go with . Some baked beans on the side tasted great as well. Prices were way too high for the amount of food you get. The “side” of beans was a little cup with two spoonfuls.. spending that kind of money for that amount of food is unfortunate and we won’t be coming back.
