I loved the tiny restaurant experience. There was no wait time, we got our drinks and food extremely quickly and very polite staffing. The over atmosphere with the music was just perfect👌

With both The Portuguese House and Tall Trees fully booked, we looked for a top-rated alternative and landed on Mottbora Sushi, which holds a 4.5-star rating. While the restaurant itself is clean and the staff were welcoming and kind, the food unfortunately fell short of our expectations.
We started with edamame and seaweed salad, which were both fresh and enjoyable. However, the tempura shrimp and calamari were a letdown. The shrimp lacked flavor, and the calamari was more like deep-fried batter than true tempura—possibly made from frozen.
As a sushi lover, I had high hopes, but the sushi itself was just okay. Not bad, but certainly not memorable or worth a return visit.
If you're serious about your sushi or looking for a standout culinary experience, I’d suggest reading individual, recent reviews rather than relying on the overall rating. Taste is subjective, but for us, the search for exceptional food in Huntsville continues.

Wow the sushi here was super fresh - rice done perfectly, wasabi was really nice too. We had the green dragon, cherry roll and the Las Vegas roll. All were delicious - highly recommend.

Great sushi and service at a family run restaurant! We have been coming here for the past few years and whenever we come to Huntsville. The sushi is always fresh and well prepared!

Take out dinner for 2. Was tasty. Really pricey $28. Ea. For sushi dinner . No soup, no salad, just the sushi ( maybe 15pcs or less). Was still hungry. Picked up something else after.

This place came recommended and I see why. 5 stars all around. We actually got a table, although it's more of a takeout place, only a few tables inside.
The food was so fresh and delicious and very fast. The place is VERY clean, bathroom, front desk, kitchen, floors, tables. And the server was truly spectacular, just so kind! Some people just do their job, but this woman was so in tune with us and went out of her way to make our dinner nice (we went with 2 little kids). Thanks so much guys. Highly highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible sushi spot! The food was amazing!!! fresh, delicious, and clearly made with love. You can tell everything is homemade, from the sauces to the sushi itself. It’s all crafted from scratch, and the flavours really stand out.
What impressed me even more was how light and clean I felt after eating, no heavy or sluggish feeling, just totally satisfied and energized. It’s rare to find a place where you enjoy such rich flavour and still feel great afterward.
The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get. And to top it off, it's family-owned, which you can feel in the warmth of the service and the attention to detail. I’ll definitely be back! This place is a gem!

Very cute little spot, l had the the Chicken Katsu Roll, Chicken Teriyaki Roll, Veggie Spring Roll, and the Dumplings it was delicious. The staff are also great, so kind!
