Posting this as a review for Tall Trees catering, rather than the restaurant itself.
My wife and I hired Tall Trees to cater our wedding, which took place at a private residence in Huntsville in early September. Tall Trees (the restaurant) has been a favourite of my wife and her family for some time, and we were very excited when they were available.
At every step throughout the process, Tall Trees was wonderful: communicative, easy-going, and very organized. They provided appetizers during the cocktail hour, a three-course dinner (a beautiful caesar salad, salmon or short rib main dishes, and a chocolate cake for dessert), as well as a late-night mac-and-cheese bar. (Attached photo is the short rib main dish.)
The food was excellent throughout. All of our guests were (and continue to be) very complimentary about the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the thoughtful presentation.
The weather was not particularly cooperative in early September, and our wedding was not without its administrative hiccups. Despite this, each and every Tall Trees team member was kind and self-assured, and they made us (and our guests) feel cared-for and loved.
The quality of the ingredients, the taste of the dishes, the friendly service, the portions: every component of the catering exceeded our expectations, and we feel that we got an incredible amount of value for the money that we spent. Tall Trees made our wedding feel extraordinarily special, and we will look back on their food with fondness and gratitude for years to come.

What a gem!!! There arenât any complaints from me, that is for sure. The ambiance was amazing! The service impeccable and the foodâŠwell, itâs hard not to give it a 5+!!!! The portions were generous, the infusion of flavours were spectacular and overall seriously, top notch! I think their deep fried butter tart is one of my most favourite deserts ever! I highly recommend this restaurant if youâre looking for a one of a kind meal.

The atmosphere in the gazebo we reserved was amazing, set up perfectly for a romantic dinner for two. The scallop appetizer was our favourite dish. The drinks were nice, the moscow Mule was perfect. Unfortunately the haddock though was very dry and salty and we ordered a side of collosal shrimp to go with it and only received 2 jumbo (not collosal) shrimp for 16.00 extra which seemed Alot for only 2 shrimp. My rack of lamb was very good and the veggies were amazing that accompanied it. The dessert was nice but overall we won't be back too pricey for what we received, we only went as we had a gift card otherwise we probably wouldn't choose this restaurant as we have had fine dining elsewhere for cheaper prices and better cooked/ choices for fish.

We had an amazing birthday dinner tonight. Our server Ayla was a sweetheart and very attentive. 10/10 recommend
The food is always superb but we were rudely rushed through our meal. Our reservation was at 7pm. We are aware of the 1.5hr time frame. We had eaten a starter and main course and were out the door within an hour. The waiter's busy energy was disturbing the ambiance and our ability to relax and enjoy the meal. At one point, he came to check in on us but had already turned and walked away as we were answering. After that, just before our main course arrived, he didn't ask if we had finished our bread, he reached over and grabbed the bread board (there was still a piece on it that were saving to have with the main course). When my partner stated that in fact, he would love more bread, the server snapped a response, I can bring more but you have to pay for it. This rushed experience quite frankly ruined our night out. Very disappointing.

Everything about thos restaurant is well thought out. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The decor is quirky and fun. The food is amazing. There were so many fresh local options that is was hard to decide what to eat.

We had big expectations for Tall Trees, but I don't think it fully delivered. Service was friendly and food was ok. The ambiance was lovely in the old house surrounded by gardens and of course tall trees. There was a good variety of wines by the glass. I don't think the food met my expectations for the price point. The mussels, while tasty, didn't all fully open. I don't think I've ever ordered mussels from anywhere that had so many closed mussels. Waitress seemed kind of annoyed when I mentioned this. I almost never make these comments about meals. So maybe avoid the mussels? The pesto pasta was bland. I don't think I'll be back.

Starting with taking a credit card to hold a reservation (a practice I understand), followed by a message 30 minutes before your reserved time, only to be unable to seat us at our reserved time of 6pm. They only start seating at 5pm - who was at my table before me? Additional couple walked in at 6pm and were promptly and immediately taken to their table. Food was good, but not great. Had the prime rib and it was overly fatty and overpriced, Service was OK, but not up to standards for the dollars charged. There are better options in town.
