This place deserves a much higher rating than what they currently have. The food was delicious, the view spectacular from the rooftop patio, the music was good while not too loud. And to too it off, Maddy’s smile and service definitely makes us want to come back.

Great food!! Takeout sizes are way smaller then dining in, very disappointing.

Seems like the only option in town. Was recommended the black bean burger but it was just ok.

The power bowl is basically a salad for $21 that only comes with a tbsp of chickpeas, to add chicken is $8 on top. So you’re paying for the lettuce and chicken $29, might be better off just buying a salad with chicken on the side.

My husband and I have lived here all of our lives and have been to The Mill well over 100 times over the years. We walked in tonight to have a beer at 9:15pm. We’re standing at the door for 30 seconds or so and the waitress hesitates but says “no, we’re closed, sorry”. We respectfully said thanks and left. I then checked the hours online - open until 10. Unimpressed to say the least. Turning away locals 45 minutes before you close with tons of seating available.

The visit was great, we had brunch, they had lots of room for us and we sat at the second patio which is not covered as the weather was quite nice.

The service was a little slow as we got our waters after 15 minutes of sitting down but from there on it was all good so no complaints. The views are nice, the service is fine the food however is really good. I enjoyed my black bean veggie burger, there mushroom pizza was good, sweet potato fries were amazing, the chicken quesadilla was perfect but the coleslaw with it wasn’t really good. We had tempura cauliflower which was also good. The drinks were fine.

It is nice location, nice views and great food. Will probably come again when we’re in the area.

The Mill on Main is in a great spot in downtown Huntsville, and at first glance it feels like the kind of place you’d want to sit down at after exploring Muskoka. The atmosphere is welcoming and the patio has a nice casual vibe, especially if you’re just looking to grab a drink and people-watch. That said, when it came to the food, the overall experience left me a little underwhelmed.

I came in really wanting to try the lamb shank, which looked like one of the more exciting items on the menu, but unfortunately they didn’t have it available that day. That was disappointing, and I ended up going for pizza instead. The pizza itself was okay, but the dough really missed the mark—it didn’t have that light, flavorful, or well-textured quality you’d expect. Toppings were fine, but the crust is what carries a pizza, and this one felt more like an afterthought.

I also tried their Caesar, which was decent. It had the classic flavor you’d expect and was refreshing enough, but again, not something I’d rave about. Across the board, the food felt pretty average—nothing was terrible, but nothing really impressed either. For the price point, which is on the higher side, I think you’d expect a little more in terms of flavor and execution.

Service was fair and the staff were pleasant, but the overall experience just didn’t live up to the charm of the location. Huntsville and Muskoka have a lot of great spots, and while The Mill on Main is okay for a casual night out if you’re already nearby, it wouldn’t be my first recommendation if you’re looking for a truly memorable dining experience.

It’s a solid “middle of the road” option: not bad, but not great either. With some improvements to consistency in the kitchen and perhaps more attention to the details that elevate a dish from average to memorable, it could be much better. For now, I’d call it decent if you’re in the area, but not necessarily worth going out of your way for.

The friendliest service! Huuuuge portions. The vegan cheese was excellent and really melted! Tasty food and nice patio overlooking the dock

We’ve been here before and had pizza which was fine. Tonight I ordered the lobster pasta and it wasn’t good at all. The lobster was like a minced variety of all the bad parts and it came with tomatoes which doesn’t go with lobster.
This dish was $27, way over priced. It was drowning in spicy olive oil. My husband had ribs with coleslaw that he said tasted weird. We had iced tea and our bill was over $80 without the tip. He did have the apple blossom which is the same thing that comes in a box at the grocery store. The atmosphere was awful with huge white plastic bins piled up in the counter in pizza area with cleaning products and old rags.
Our server was very good.
We won’t ever be back. Really awful food and atmosphere. Don’t go here!

1 hr 20 minute wait to get food, very rude server. Mediocre food. Wouldn’t recommend.

Went in for lunch, excited to revisit an old local favourite but were largely disappointed. While moderately busy, we did not get an order in until 30 minutes after seating (not even a beverage order), then did not receive our food until an hour after ordering. Additionally two large portions of food items were not available; pizza and pulled pork. During dining, waitress was inattentive and further brought wrong meal. When politely addressed, the server blamed us and our children for confusing her when ordering rather than addressing or acknowledging the issue. She further stormed away scoffing for allowing our children to place their own orders. While the meal cost was taken off the final bill, we received no apology for the extensive wait time, misunderstanding or behaviour, which is all we expected. We did not once expect or ask for a refund. The overall experience will certainly influence us to choose a better dining spot and will be advising others to do the same.

Had the salmon dip, steak, and lobster linguine. Dip was very good! Would be nice with a bit more chunks of salmon but overall amazing appetizer would 100% have it again kettle chips were amazing! Lobster Linguine was absolutely the star of the show and was amazing! I lived 1.5 hours away and had to come back again just for this because it's amazing! Only down side was we waited over 40 minutes for our mains to come out as something with the steak wasn't ready not sure what it was but appetizer came out very quick. That is the only downside but the wait for the linguine was totally worth it! Will definitely be coming back again hopefully it stays on the menu!
