We ordered takeout. Without the benefit of a menu, I asked for two pieces of fish plus fries and coleslaw for two people. I was told that was a #5 at $26.99 each ($53.98). When I picked up the order I looked at a takeout menu and discovered that the “exact” same thing called “Customers Choice” was $49.99. I asked why I didn’t get the lower priced value and was told, “ We don’t do that. You ordered a #5”. I in fact did not order a #5, as I didn’t have the benefit of a menu when I ordered, or would certainly have ordered the cheaper option - the “exact” same thing. All I got in response to my enquiry was “Sorry!” I asked if there was anything that could be done and was told “No, sorry”. This is extremely poor customer service. I just hope that the extra $3.99 (plus HST) I was overcharged is worth all the negative publicity they are going to get from me. I will never recommend Westside Fish and Chips to anyone, in fact I will be doing the opposite.

We had an absolutely fantastic first visit! The fish and chips were delicious, perfect for all four of us. And those homemade pies? Simply amazing! As new residents, we’re already looking forward to coming back. A huge shoutout to the staff – they were so friendly and welcoming!

Me and my girlfriend came to huntsville from hamilton for a trip. We stopped here and it's the best fish and chips we ever had and we've had many fish and chips before. This beats anywhere in hamilton hands down.

Me and my family were eating here was good food but probably will never come back there was a group of nine people who were coming in 5 at one table and 4 at another heard employees talking about them coming well they came and a few of their members hadn’t arrived mind you they hadn’t sat down for more then 5 minutes the waitress blonde hair plus sized lady was so rude to them came over and was like So can we at least get drinks started bc we’re busy here so let’s at least get that started in a very very disgusting way I thought maybe they know each other she was joking but facial expressions on the customers faces showed that was not true she basically was like order u drinks bc I don’t have time for u I wish others heard what I heard is was by far the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life she should be fired the owner of this restaurant will lose business bc of her and their other staff who said dw it’s not ur fault to her bc they left which I do not blame them if I didn’t order my food already and was already eating I would have left too that was disgusting lots of business to will be lost bc of this staff I’m so sorry to the group of people who encountered her disrespectfulness not one staff member saw a problem with her behaviour

Absolutely great food! Waitress was great up until the waitress beside our table were ignorant and disrespectful to them, they were waiting on other people to show up holding off their orders and the waitress was rushing them to order, stated we have other people wanting to sit at the tables but those people were only there 5 minutes, they left with disgust and our waitress was talking rude about them when they left. We loved our food but the service had killed our appetite. Bad service ruins a good place. We didn’t get waitress name but she is younger, blonde, short, we hope this gets dealt with. We would love to try some food again

Great family restaurant they were very friendly. Planty of free parking, don't fight the traffic in downtown Huntsville looking for parking. There is also a patio you can sit out on. The fish and chips were excellent and the portions were generous. I liked their 1/2 and 1/2 offer of half fries, half coleslaw. The inside was very interesting. The square ceiling tiles were painted with Disney characters throughout. They also had about 50 or so unique teapots for sale around the restaurant. Great place to go so save money and time parking and head out to this family restaurant.
