Went to Westside fish & chips for a 6 piece fish meal. A side of fries & an 8 of coleslaw. Got home & ate it. The fish (Haddock) was amazing. Cooked very nicely. The fries were real fries. Very tasty & the coleslaw was nice & fresh & creamy. I very highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice fish dinner. The staff are very helpful & polite. They also have one of the biggest teapot collections I believe in the world. You have to check this place out. Believe me, it's worth it.

I ordered takeout and the experience was good, they were very friendly and accommodating. The actual food was disappointing. I ordered:
One 2 piece meal One 1 piece + 1/4lb shrimp Two extra pieces of Halibut
The portion sizes were quite small compared to other places, the shrimp was overcooked, but the most disappointing part was the two extra pieces of halibut, I received 1 normal size and the second was extremely small (pictured).
I paid an extra $23.99 ($12 a piece) for the extra fish and I’m pretty disappointed that someone would think this was okay to send out.

Nice enough place, service not the greatest. We had to ask for tartar sauce with our fish and they didn't bring my gravy.
I went here on Nov 2nd, and it was an AWFULLY TERRIBLE experience. I went with a group of friends consisting of 20 people, when we came in, we did not expect they would have enough table and the white cashier named LYNN M who we asked for tables. She was clearly annoyed and irritated and said "We do not have enough tables and you should have made a reservation", even though when we asked very KINDLY. We were fine with that and started ordering food, it was even more AWFUL when ordering. While ordering, sometimes, she said something and we didn't catch we asked to repeat and she was VERY UPSET and not willing to repeat, we nicely asked her to explain some food and she exhaled and didn't want to answer, actually she was not willing to ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS (EXCUSE ME??? WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS). She was plain MEAN AND SUPER ANNOYED throughout the whole time, even not willing to serve us. We had to eat outside on the patio because not enough tables. I had to use the washroom so I came inside to ask for the washroom, a staff pointed out for me, it was next to the dining area so i walked through the dining area and GUESS WHAT there was a bunch of tables not taken by ANYONE, which apparently shows that the cashier LYNN M didn't want to serve us. (The cashier and dining area were separated by a wall so we couldnt see the dining area) There was a paper in the restaurant saying that "IF THE CUSTOMER WAS MEAN AND RUDE THEY WOULD BE CHARGED 10 BUCKS". LOLLLLLL They still have AUDACITY to say that? SHE was the one who being DISCRIMINATING, DISRESPECTFUL, IMPOLITE, IRRITATED, RUDE AND MEAN. SHE was discriminating because after we finished ordering, she treated other white customers nicely.
In summary, THE CASHIER LYNN M WAS RACIST AND DISCRIMINATED due to the fact that we are a group of Asian and got treated SUPER poorly. She said there were not enough tables (There were a lot of them unoccupied), didn't offer us any tables, not willing to answer questions, mean and irritated the whole time, gave us weird look, she kept exhaling when taking orders. NOT RECOMMENDING THIS FREAKING IMPOLITE, DISCRIMINATING RESTAURANT

Such a cozy spot for great fish and chips and some excellent excellent pie. We had a slice of coconut cream pie and lemon meringue, and would recommend both. Really good flaky crust!

It would have been a good experience except when we asked for a glass of water for the 4 people in our table, the waiter responded to us by saying "Didn't I ask a couple of times already if you wanted water?? How many do you need??" This was spoken in a very condescending manner and we didn't feel any ounce of customer service at all. And take note, this was the first time we asked for water. I hope they improve their tone of voice and manner of answering. Really disappointed and wouldn't be recommending this to resto to people we know.
