Basically, whatever loot you find you have to "cash in" to turn it into permanent/persistent currency by turning it in at an outpost, and a lot of the 'piracy' part comes from the fact that loot is all physical items that exist in 3D space. Other crews can and will try to get your treasure sometimes, and if a ship with loot on it sinks, all the loot floats up and stays at the surface for a while to be collected.

The two girls that worked on January 28 were doing clothes went above and beyond the call of duty. I came in at 9:45 and they said they’d make whatever I needed. I have to say they made my evening. I hope I made theirs friendly outgoing, willing to please great job ladies can’t say anymore than that… customer service is still alive
