Avenue Friday Harbour never disappoints! The menu is always fantastic, with plenty of great specials to choose from. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive which makes the whole dining experience even better. A big shout out to Vonia & Mike who are always wonderful!! Whether it's a casual night out or a special occasion, Avenue is always a top choice.

Went here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. I had the special which was a pappardelle pasta with cherry tomatoes in a cream sauce with lobster and my husband got gnocchi bolognese. It was delicious. The atmosphere was great and our server was fantastic!

We visited this restaurant yesterday with my family. The location is great, and the service overall was excellent. The host wasn’t very welcoming, but the gentleman who served us was phenomenal — very attentive and professional.
The food, however, was too oily and too salty for our taste, and we are not picky eaters. Overall, it’s not the greatest dining experience, but the excellent service made it a bit better

So I've been coming to this location since 2019 and it never disappoints. Always consistent. I had the pleasure of taking my mum and her hubs and mine. The food was fresh and absolutely delish, all of us were very happy. We enjoyed the arancini, muscles, mafaldi with a variety of mushrooms and truffle, penne a la vodka, and the burger with brie and sautéed onions and the Margherita pizza. DELISH!!!!!

Food disappointed us so much that could not go above two stars! Atmosphere is nice but food was bland, Cesar salad was ok but not the rest! Had to ask a couple of times some ketchup! Pizza was unbelievably tasteless!

Horrible experience! Not recommended at all. We went to this place for lunch with friends and had two toddlers with us. The waitress was extremely rude. When I politely asked if they had chicken nuggets for kids, she replied, “You should walk five more meters to go to another place!” After that, she completely ignored our table—never refilled our water or my wine.
At the end, when our kids were just being a little playful in their own seats, she actually shushed them—as if the four adults at the table didn’t exist and she wanted to keep our kids quiet for the sake of other guests.
Very rude service, and definitely not a fancy place at all.

We were a party of 6 with a 730 pm reservation for a birthday on August 21 2025. Server, Vania, was pleasant and polite as were the hostesses. The atmosphere was lovely, the view was superb. We ordered our meals at the same time as our appetizers (one appetizer had been forgotten to be served), and our meals came out just over an hour later - at 900 pm. We did have meals that were accidentally starting to be served to our table that belonged to a party of 8 - 10 who arrived after we had. We were apologized to and assured by our server twice in that time meals would arrive soon. A third acknowledgment came from the manager who stated 12 more minutes. The food was “ok”. Portion size was good. They did provide the birthday dessert complementary. The next day I checked my bill, which I almost always say I don’t need a copy, as it did seem a little high. I was charged 2$ more per drink than the menu price, an extra dollar for my meal, extra 2$ for my daughters meal, extra 2$ for appetizer and charged entirely for an appetizer we didn’t order or receive. In total, 30$ extra. I did call twice to speak to someone, both times I had to leave a message, with no call back. I’m very VERY disappointed and most unlikely to return or would not recommend.
