I visited Avenue Friday Harbour in the summer and was really impressed by the food. The pastas, pizzas, and drinks were all incredible fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a warm day by the water. The lakeside view adds a lot to the experience, making it a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
The only downside was the service, which wasn’t the best and did take away from the overall experience. Still, the quality of the food and the lovely waterfront atmosphere make it worth a visit. The surrounding area is also great for a walk in the summer, giving you plenty to enjoy before or after your meal.
Overall, a delicious spot with amazing views, just hoping the service improves to match the rest.

Oh avenue I’ve had a love hate relationship with them for years but this summer truly won my heart over. I had the most incredible pasta of my entire existence. My whole table was jealous of my order and it was too good to share. It was an incredible summer special, and though I had children ramming into the back of my chair nothing could ruin that incredible dish (shoutout to the sever that had to deal with the insufferable and very large group behind us half of them being young kids).
Vanya (I believe that’s how you spell it) was an amazing server, she was sweet and attentive and a pleasure to speak with. The staff there is working hard it is incredibly busy in the summer, bless them.

Avoid, terrible service. I would give no stars if there was an option. My family came for dinner on Saturday October 11 at around 7:00pm. Our party of 6 was seated at the back left of the restaurant close to the window.
The server we got was a middle aged Caucasian women, I don’t know her name, she didn’t care to introduce herself.
We were given water to start and then she proceeded to give us a long list of specials of about 20 items. She spoke quickly and didn’t articulate herself clearly almost as if she was rushing to get through dealing with our group.
When we asked questions about the specials and pricing, she responded in a condescending tone which was not appreciated. We should have left at that point but it was too late in the evening to go anywhere else and the area has limited options.
After taking our order, the food took an hour to come out and she did not come by to check on the table.
When we were finally served, she came by with a cheese grater for the pasta which broke and cheese fell all over my brother in laws clothing. There was no apology, just a snarky comment about her not knowing her own strength.
She also made a very rude comment to my younger cousin who had to fill his own water from a bottle since she didn’t care to come back and refill our glasses.
All this to say, she was the worst server I’ve ever dealt with. I sensed that attitude came from our group being a visible minority which is disappointing.
I didn’t bother complaining at the time to management because it would have just upset me more and ruined my evening. I also do not believe anything would have been done and I do not plan on ever going back.
The experience was not pleasant and not worth the time and money.

Avenue Friday Harbour never disappoints! The menu is always fantastic, with plenty of great specials to choose from. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive which makes the whole dining experience even better. A big shout out to Vonia & Mike who are always wonderful!! Whether it's a casual night out or a special occasion, Avenue is always a top choice.

Went here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. I had the special which was a pappardelle pasta with cherry tomatoes in a cream sauce with lobster and my husband got gnocchi bolognese. It was delicious. The atmosphere was great and our server was fantastic!
Most delish focaccia I’ve ever had in my entire life. I still have vivid dreams of it, months later. Server was so sweet and kind.

We visited this restaurant yesterday with my family. The location is great, and the service overall was excellent. The host wasn’t very welcoming, but the gentleman who served us was phenomenal — very attentive and professional.
The food, however, was too oily and too salty for our taste, and we are not picky eaters. Overall, it’s not the greatest dining experience, but the excellent service made it a bit better

So I've been coming to this location since 2019 and it never disappoints. Always consistent. I had the pleasure of taking my mum and her hubs and mine. The food was fresh and absolutely delish, all of us were very happy. We enjoyed the arancini, muscles, mafaldi with a variety of mushrooms and truffle, penne a la vodka, and the burger with brie and sautéed onions and the Margherita pizza. DELISH!!!!!
