What a great vibe! And the food was fantastic. I'm not a fan of poutine, but the chicken tikka poutine is delicious. It's a fun, casual vibe in a beautiful setting. The live music is a great addition to the boardwalk. Looking forward to my next visit!

We visited on a warm, sunny day, and the patio was the perfect spot to enjoy the weather. However, the only downside was the long wait—about 15 minutes—for someone to seat us. Aside from that, the food was good, and our server was excellent once we were seated. Overall, a nice experience with just a small hiccup in service.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred today at your establishment involving my registered service dog. During a visit with my family, we were informed by a staff member, identified as Alison or Alis, that we could not enter the restaurant with my service dog.

The stated reason for this denial was that "John, the owner," had instructed staff not to allow service dogs inside, and that this policy had been endorsed by the Food and Safety Department. I have provided documentation proving that my service dog is properly registered and legally recognized. Despite this, we were refused entry.

This action appears to be in direct violation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), which mandates that service dogs must be accommodated in public spaces. I plan to report this matter to the Food and Safety Department of Barrie.

I would appreciate a prompt review of this situation and an explanation of why my legal rights were not upheld. Additionally, I request that measures be taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.

All of our dishes were good except for the Roasted vegetable focaccia sandwich. My guest found the vegetables mushy and the bread looked and tasted undercooked. I'm not impressed with the restaurants charging a resort fee on top of the bill although it was 3% at their place it still adds up.

We've been a number of times while this place was still the Marine Room Gastropub. Since the rebrand and new menu came out, we've been once more and won't be returning. Also the service is wonderful, the menu has really gone downhill. Our favorite apps are gone, their interesting and creative drink choices have been removed, and there are barely any choices for even someone who is a pescatarian, let alone a vegetarian. We won't be returning. If I was the new owner, I'd bring back some of the favorites on the previous menu and listen to your customers.

Our server Jonah was excellent but beyond his control was the wait for our food. Got to restaurant at 6:15 and finished at 7:45. The food is pub food good not great but not worth the wait. The Marine room was better.

This new restaurant in Friday Harbour is what the area has been missing since the area was developed. The food flavourful and the service was great. My hats off to the owners of this establishment. If you get the opportunity ask for the server Brooke. She made our first visit memorable. Looking forward to our next visit.

Made reservations via open table but when we got to Friday harbour and to the restaurant it was closed. I called and no answer. Their website is non-existent. The Friday harbour resort welcome center person didn't even know the restaurant hours

We had a wonderful time! The service was excellent. The food and drinks were great. The ambiance was fun. Family and friends were present...what more can you ask for?! Highly recommend.

Food was good. It would have been better if we didn’t have to wait so long to get our food.
We visited there in the afternoon on mid-week around 1 pm. It took 20 min for someone to take our order. It took almost 1 hour for the food to come out, some of the drinks we ordered didn’t come out, or the ones that came out took 15-20 min to be served to us.
After done eating, it took them another 20 min or so to bring out bill.
Everything was so slow and the servers would just pass by, not asking how we are doing or if we need anything.
Terrible service, I would not visit there anymore.

Very bad service and very slow. They were pretty much out of half of the food on the menu. They brought our appetizers and main dishes on the table at the same time after more than an hour of ordering our food. Don’t recommend this place at all

The service was EXTREMELY slow! It took almost 1 hour to get our food which consisted of your standard pub fare. The food was adequate, however overpriced for what it was. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Unfortunately very disappointed with our recent experience this past weekend. We came with a small group of two families to enjoy a dinner this past Saturday. Having heard good things about all the restaurants and area this left a really bad taste in our mouth. Disappointed it took over an hour for us to get our food, but even more upsetting was to have one of our guests entrées just not come out at all. We asked our server who apologized, saying their kitchen was a mess that night they forgot our order, and that it will take a while for them to make us another similar entree. Instead they suggested to make a pizza and offered to cover our appetizer. Waiting for so long for our food and being told the kitchen forgot our entree is unacceptable. Having smaller children with us we were not able to stay around much longer as they were getting restless. This negative experience will probably prevent us from coming back to Friday Harbour altogether.
