Had a great afternoon at Flat Rock pick up party Saturday. Wine & beer paired beautifully with some tasty cheeses. Thanks Tate for accommodating us without a reservation! Highly recommend this winery.

Stopped in Saturday for club member pick up party. Didn’t RSVP. Tate and Sarah welcome our group of 4 without hesitation. The place was hopping and they made space for us.

The vibe is super cool and chill. A couple of cross country skiers stopping in for a visit.

The quality, service and experience is excellent. Make it a place to stop in. Wine, beer, people. All have great taste!

Ps. Try a white or red twisted or quality Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. Thank me later!

So sad to share my thoughts that the Flat Rock Cellars 2023 Pinot Noir VQA I recently purchased and tasted has no life. It is paler in colour and not at all enjoyable compared to other pinot noir wines I enjoy. I will not be drinking the rest of the bottle but will instead use it for cooking.

Very good wine

Came to the Niagara region today specifically for the Flat Rock warehouse sale. Picked up some great wine for some great prices.
We've been there before but forgot how beautiful the location is. Sitting in the tasting room with a glass in hand, looking out over the vineyards, Lake Ontario, and on a good day, the Toronto skyline - pretty darn relaxing.
Strongly recommend.

The tour we went on was very informative and the sustainable practices used here are impressive. Also, and most importantly, the different wines we tried were all incredible.

Great selection of wines including dry reds. The grounds were spectacular and you can see downtown Toronto in the distance.

I know this review will go against what others are saying but my experience was disappointing. A friend has talked up the winery and the wine, I was very excited to try. From the minute we walked in service was abysmal - no one to greet us and when we finally did find someone she said “how did you even get in here”. We had the discovery pass and they told us which direction we should go. The wine was low quality and the food pairing did not match. We left 8 minutes after we got there. Also, the smell was very strong and we could not be inside.

This would be a great wine club to join if we lived in Canada.

Flat Rock Cellars was on our “must do” list last week. We arrived on Fri afternoon to sip a few specific wines if a bottle was open. Had a feeling that these award winning wines were special, and we appreciated the sustainable practices.

Tate was very helpful and suggested a couple more wines for us to sip. WOW! Very tasty wines - rich flavors. Bought two bottles - foundation Riesling and the award winning Rusty Shed Chardonnay. We brought both of these bottles home to savor. The vineyards are beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for making great wines.

Visiting Canada we met some random but lovely ex pats in a diner. When in Canada do the Canadian thing! Over the years they have visited most of the local wineries and we asked for a recommendation near our route. They had no hesitation in recommending Flat Rock and we are pleased they did.

The winery is absolutely beautiful with an observation deck overlooking the vines and over to Toronto in the distance (on a clear day). It is clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

We were driving so only had a small tasting and picked the most interesting wines. We bought more and haven’t been disappointed yet. There is a good range focused on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this winery, especially if you have a non drinking driver!

Shocked this isn’t a more well-known winery in the region. Delicious wines and an even better view for your tasting. Staff were also lovely!
