An extra big chip truck, without the wheels! This neat roadside experience has a surprisingly extensive menu, but we opted for their poutine based on other reviews. It was great: crisp fries, lots of curds, and hot tasty gravy. They also offer about a dozen or so specialty poutines, in addition to the usual burgers and sandwiches. No indoor seating but a handful of picnic tables.
What more can I fella say? But wow, food is great. Staff are great. Prices aren’t bad. Get a lot of food for your money! I stop all across this place for weeks ago now I can pass by when I’m stopping in to get something. Keep up the good work!
Gala’s is a MUST stop for your trip. Consistently great food, quick service and the price is right. It’s always busy when we stop but you don’t wait very long for the food. Picnic tables (some with umbrellas, some without) and a covered gazebo with seating for six. They’re open from Easter weekend through to hunting season and/or when the snow starts to fly. I’d highly recommend the poutine, hamburger and pulled pork. The fries are the best around.
