“I was in Kapuskasing for a brief visit and ordered the cafe latte coffee at Back to the Grind. I drink only one cup of coffee a day, so I want it to be good. I was delighted, what a wonderful coffee, perfect for my morning, just the right of amount of bold, eartly, even a little bit bitter that can be mellowed out with milk and sugar.”

“We recently camped at the Provincial Park east of Kapuskasing and we were reading the park's book. There was an add for this bakery that got my attention. Luckily we were staying until the Thursday so we could go into the shop on Wednesday. We picked up some bread, donuts including cream puffs and some butter tarts. Wow, very good indeed. Highly recommend this as a stop when visiting the area.”

“January 11th 2025 my partner and I went for a little brunch. For some reason we never think about this place when we are hungry… let me tell you that this has changed now! The menu has a great selection, the price of items is really fair, the service is really really good, and the food is cooked TO PERFECTION! It was so delicious!! “Nearly the same food as when I was a kid in the 60's. The whistle dog has retired. But you can still get a root beer float. And now they have frozen root beer, root beer shakes, and other new frozen drinks.

Vegetarian options: Fantastic vege burger”

“The wings are really good, that's about all I can say that's positive there. Bought a large Hawaiian a little while back when I went to try it the pineapple was hard like a rock and the ham was super dry and tasted very nasty and not sure if it was the pizza but I was sick for 2 days after.”

“Had a hot and sour soup and mushroom egg foo young. Both were excellent. Very nice portion of egg foo young, and the soup was full of meat and vegetables. Friendly service also. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in ”

Parking: It's not difficult to find parking although the parking is a bit odd being attached to a gas station it can be a bit of chaos and sometimes vehicles just park wherever.”

“I love my Mcdonald’s don’t get me wrong. I will be nice to every single employee because I know how hard it is to work in the food industry, but god forbid when a customer smiles at you and asks you how your day is, please don’t slam the drive through window in their faces and give them nasty looks.

This won’t stop me from coming here but please do better on customer service.”

“The crew at Subway are always so friendly and helpful! I can always count on them for fast service especially when I am running late for work! They are always fully stocked up so no need to worry they will run out of toppings or condiments when making your order. I definitely recommend this place for a quick fresh meal!”
