I’ve been to Fat Les’ multiple times, hoping each visit would finally unlock the secret everyone else seems to know — and I’m still waiting. The fries are fine, the gravy’s decent, and the poutine does its job, but I’ve never had that life-changing moment people rave about.
It’s not bad by any means, just… confusingly average for a place with such a cult following. Maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe it’s the name — but for me, it’s more Fat Meh than Fat Wow.
I’ll probably end up there again someday, still chasing the hype like it’s the last fry at the bottom of the box.

Amazing service, and food was excellent. It’s a heat wave outside today so we were so thankful for the servers who work hard to serve us a great lunch. They were super friendly as well. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

That was the worst poutine I ever had barely any gravy or cheese. Top was nice melted cheese but that was only the top! Just fries not even gravy after that and 32 bucks sheesh! Should have grabbed a shawarma!!!
