Salamanders has done a 360. 5 months ago they prepared food to my liking. My husband and I were very pleased.This evening we went there for a special occasion and were very disappointed. The specific table that I reserved, weeks ago, was not available, the food could not be prepared to my liking (ie: gluten free) and the chef was unable to offer appropriate substitutes. Unlike our visit 5 months ago. This night was a flop. Not happy!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy and shellfish allergy.

We were so amazed with this restaurant. Mother and daughter team work. The food was absolutely delicious . So tasty,fresh and homemade. Had the tomatoes sundried chicken quiche with house salad & my husband had the chicken thai wrap with fries. To finish my meal I Had the rum bread pudding. I enjoyed every bite. It was the perfect ending to my meal. You are a great cook ,with great talent. Your mom is such a nice, friendly waitress . You are very lucky to have each other as a great team. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back for lunch again the next day. My husband was the first to try the pull pork nachos. He loved his meal . I had the chicken thai wrap ,so I could taste it. It was amazing. Now the highlight of my day, was trying the hummingbird cake. This cake was perfect. The presentation of the meals and desserts were A++++. By far, the best place we've eaten in a long time. Just felt right at home ,comfy ,relaxed,friendly staff ,great prices and a happy ,full,belly. Thank you both so much for all your hard work and making homemade food thats so worth our trip . We will be back for sure once the patio opens up. Keep up the great cooking xo

This is only our second time in the hidden gem of Kemptville. Not only is the food outstanding, but the effort the kitchen goes through to accommodate my wife's sodium restrictions is stellar. We've only been there in the winter, so I cannot wait to go there in the summer and sit outside and watch the kayaks on Kemptville Creek.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen accommodates a salt free diet to the point of making homemade tartar sauce and salt free batter for the fish.

Went there this weekend for an event. Lovely people and wonderful food! Looking forward to going back again, likely in spring or summer to experience the patio. I really enjoyed the Cajun cooking, and I wish we had a Cajun restaurant in Kingston. Paul, the owner, his wife and the family - a great team and they provide a very welcoming experience!

Cozy/casual place! Really lovely patio in the warmer months. Our server was SO nice! Excellent prices for sturdy. The bathroom stalls clearly hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while (literal cobwebs and dust amongst stall debris), so that was a bit off-putting; but overall - definitely a restaurant I will recommend and frequent again!! :)
