Disappointed with my dinner this time around, had jumbalia a few weeks ago and loved it this visit had it again and it was almost inedible no taste at all just tomato paste some sausage and chicken (not even one piece of shrimp). I was there with 6 other people and picked up the bill and even after informing my water that it was not good it was still on the bill I picked up… very disappointing that after putting out over 200 for dinner you are stoping at Wendy’s on your way home.

Get the maple chicken salad with cornbread and sweet potato fries with curry mayo!!!! Right on the river. We stop here everytime we pass by.

Haven’t been to salamanders for years , I had heard good things and the birthday girl actually lives 3 houses away. We arrived at 6pm I had reserved a table on the patio. We did sit for at least 15min without a drink. When the server finally got to us I found her very abrupt I was actually scolded for jumping in with my drink order and not in the order she wanted us on her pad for the bills later…. The server obviously could not handle big tables ( we were 6 ?) I dont mind waiting for good food and every dish we ordered was outstanding. Fish wrap , steak taco bowl, Nachos and salads with chicken . Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection. The patio was busy for a Wednesday evening the server did notice that we had empty glasses and took another drink order before we received our food. After we had paid our individual bills we sat chatting . The server cleared the table and even took our water that we were still drinking… she actually told us “ it’s time to leave girls “ we close at 8pm. Seriously other customers were still on the patio it was 8:15 . I found that so rude … I will return because the food was awesome but I do hope Joel is our server next time.

Fabulous food. I'll always go out of my way for a meal at Salamanders when travelling the area . Grandson and his buddy accompanied me today - one rated their meal as 11 out of 10 - other was a 9.5 !! Good portions as we all brought home leftovers from our entrees - can't wait to get into more of the Mesquite Beef Nachos appetizer as also brought home. Long live Salamanders !!!

Ok so who’s been to salamanders? My goodness I’ve lived in Kemptville for 14 years now and today was the the first day I went …geez the food was amazing! Our server Natalie was so amazing ! I think we would’ve been full with our sweet chilli chicken nachos ! (Btw we got a half order) we will definitely be going there on a regular basis …we also had the grilled steak sandwich and the vegetable stir fry with chicken ..yum yum I would highly recommend ❤️
