Efficient, friendly staff. Delicious and generous serving of the salad with beets, goat cheese, and candied pecans. Tasty fresh naan on the side was a nice plus. Nice paintings on the walls. Fast take-out service. Price with 15% tip was comparable.

Was at a retirement dinner party of about 30 people. They made a custom menu of several choices to accommodate a wide variety of tastes - I had the walleye special & the food was excellent! Everyone around me also enjoyed their choices. 😁

They even stayed open longer than stated Closing Time to allow for more visiting after dinner and let us connect to their entertainment system so we could set the atmosphere. “A” for Hospitality.

Excellent local cafe! My spouse had the staff salad, I chose the ShoalLake burger. Great food, wonderful staff. Go out and enjoy a meal in a local restaurant!
The service was painfully slow despite the servers working visibly hard. The lack of a dedicated bartender meant the 1 server up front had to run a packed room as well as make drinks, including many handmade cocktails. This created a huge slowdown even though the poor girl was working her tail off. As a result, we weren't able to get any drink refills through service, a shame because our table would have easily spent over $100 in alcohol if given the chance. Hoping the owner sees this because they're missing out on significant income with drinks that would more than offset the wages of a bartender. Food was great even though it was a little cold from slow service. Only giving this 5 stars to support a small business and because the town needs restaurants like this. It's just a small detail away from being great.
