Locally-brewed blueberry ale and walleye dinner were off the charts good. Wild rice casserole is my favorite thing about Kenora and this resto embraces the dish. Will be back to explore breakfast too (breakfast sandwich on bannock!) great food and service and my complaint about the atmosphere is mostly that despite being on the Harbourfront you can’t see and enjoy the lake because the city long ago decided waterfront is for parking lots (so … not the restaurants fault but a classic example of bad civic planning)

Definitely a nice spot to get a meal. The patio is really nice. Beautiful view. The food was pretty good as well. Not too expensive, very good portion size. Just come in and grab a seat outside or inside and the waiter will come and give you a menu. Really enjoyed going here. They definitely have a lot of potential. Definitely a great place to go with friends.

We had a very disappointing service experience on a quiet Sunday evening over Labour Day weekend. Not sure if the kitchen or serving team was understaffed, but we waited over an hour for our fish and chip dinners that never arrived so we paid and left. Below is our experience including possible contributing factors. We sat ourselves, were greeted and given menus. The server was pleasant and brought waters. We ordered our drinks and meals at the same time. It took over 15 minutes for two drinks. During this wait time, we piled the last guests’ dirty plates ourselves and the server took them. Another server wiped down other tables just not ours. I noticed our server asked another server something and gestured at our table—- not sure what- perhaps they were changing their table assignment? At no point during our one hour visit did someone ask if we wanted another round of drinks. Other tables were checked on, just not ours. The worst part for us: We watched three other groups who arrived after us receive their meals. Twelve other guests got served instead of us. The large group of six people seated next to us were checked on many times…likely locals who are regulars. Feeling neglected and non-existent, we went inside and paid for our drinks so we could leave. This place needs some help- the servers looked stressed- but it wasn’t busy. This is a prime tourist location and I understand that locals will come back regularly but everyone deserves a nice, timely experience. Please teach your staff to be customer aware.

Great stop for dinner on our road trip! Strawberry Dragon fruit mojito was delicious and well made. The bannock tacos were enough food for days, it even came with a fresh salad appy, and it was all delicious. Generous portions which is nice for a road trip. Bison dip sandwich was great and came with fries. Service wasn’t anything special but we were here for good food and we definitely got what we wanted!

Placed an order to be picked up at six pm and told to be it would be ready by 6:28. They canceled the order at 6:21. I tried to call cause the person that already left to pick up the meal. I called and a little girl told me that she just started and has no idea what happened and to call back in five minutes and talk to someone who has been there longer when order was made. then they keep sending my call straight to voicemail and still I cannot call the business cause my number goes straight to voicemail. It’s kind of pathetic the owners/employees are doing that to locals. Then the employee told person picking it up that they never accepted/have the order even though proof of order with the app, and told us to basically “out of luck maybe next time they will except order”
Came in at 8:20 pm for dinner. Hours say open to 9:00. Waitress acted like we were ruining her life coming in so late. We left so as to not cause her any trouble by serving us.

Went into town for lunch. Cottage Time has one of the best views of the harbour from the patio. I had the Pickerel Tacos. They were very good. Husband had the Anishinaabe Taco option. Service was good. Beautiful day to enjoy the patio.

The food was good…. But the waitress purposely deceived us by not mentioning the tip was included already in the price. She then purposely did not print off the bill to further avoid mentioning that the tip was already included. We then had the waitress mention the tip option when paying. In short we tipped on top of a tip. The waitress purposely did all of this to have more of a tip when we already tipped. Check your bill when you eat here!
