Fantastic food and friendly service! 🥢✨ Ho Ho Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem in Kenora — the portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and every dish tastes freshly made. The sweet and sour chicken was crispy and delicious, and the chow mein and fried rice were full of flavor. The staff were super welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, you can always count on a great meal here.

This place sure went downhill. Timbergardens is defiantly better value, more portions, food tastes fresher there too. Hohos was bland, tasteless, and the portions were small for the price. New owners are not doing a great job obviously cause this used to be the place to go. Stick with timbergarden.

We ordered Mother’s Day as a special treat for my Mother. The order took 3 hours (we were warned they were an hour behind not 3), it was extremely overcooked, greasy and cold when we finally got it. The saving grace, as little as there was, was the chicken chow mein, which was the only edible food. Five dishes was $85.00 and 70% of it ended up in the garbage. It’s bizarre that they were behind, yet we got cold AND overcooked food.

It’s sad because this was a restaurant I always recommended to family, friends and my customers.

Lady on the phone was nice but we ordered chow mien and this is what they gave us. Called and asked about it not realizing that the crunchy noddles where the only noodles offered for chow mien because that’s not at all what chow mein is. she offered a credit or to come back and and get the noodles. No refund. Or any sort of real chow mein. The chicken balls are tossed in sauce for some reason. No mention of this anywhere on the menu or website. And the wontons have no meat in them. Definitely would not order here again.

Went in for late lunch and they are “take out only”, just like the other Chinese restaurant nearby. Is there a time they actually open? Strike two for Chinese while in this town.

Still decent, the only good restaurant left in this shell of a town. Bad place to live

Very bland, watery, and flat out not good. It was wasted money. Upside, the staff was friendly. I would never consider ordering from here again.

We got takeout and we're pretty grossed out. The chicken fried rice was pretty bland and the chicken looked pretty purple. The beef and greens tasted smoky and not much else. We also got the lemon chicken which tasted and appeared to have been frozen. Fried wontons were chewy and suspicious, with something small and pink in each one. I'm confused, as we were told this was going to be good. We unfortunately wasted much of our meal, it was unappetizing.

The food was ok; nothing special. Really large portions which was very nice. Definitely not the worst Chinese food in Kenora, but definitely not the best either in my opinion. People who love Ho Ho really love it, but I wasn't particularly overwhelmed by the food and service.
