Visited while camping in Killarney.
To echo many of the other statements, the fish is awesome - I’m not usually a big pickerel fan and it was amazing. Chips are mid, the service was a little on the unfriendlier side, and the price of food was quite high for what you get; however, the view of the water is nice and it’s probably your best option for dining in the area.

What a great little spot! Great food, great service, great view.
The fish n chips were hot and delicious with a side of tangy coleslaw.
Staff were friendly & helpful.
There was a well-stocked table of condiments for your meal.
Plenty of seating, great little atmosphere, with a spectacular view.

Good fish but the chips were underwhelming. Soggier than my liking.

Just a couple Alaskan bikers looking for a meal, and this was the perfect place to stop. Good food, and a cold beer. Highly recommend.

We drove up this morning and I swear they keep getting better and better. The best pickerel we have ever had. Generous portions. Jenny and staff are always so welcoming.

It's okay to eat some fish and chips. The Fish was very good, the Chips not crispy and a little bit boring.
The Chicken Wings were not good.
It's self-service but the lady at the order counter was nice.
It's more like a snack bar than a restaurant.

I had a really nice experience at this little spot. The food was fresh and tasty, and while I wouldn’t call it the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, it was still really enjoyable and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area. You can tell the ingredients are handled with care, and there’s something about the way they prepare it that gives off a very homemade, local feel rather than a big chain or overly polished restaurant vibe.
The service matched the atmosphere—pretty simple and nothing fancy, but very genuine. The staff were kind and welcoming in a way that felt natural, like you’re being looked after by locals who actually care about their community. It wasn’t over the top or overly formal, but it fit the setting perfectly.
One of my favorite parts was the outdoor deck right beside the restaurant. They’ve got picnic tables set up where you can sit and enjoy your meal, and it makes the whole experience feel much more relaxed. Eating outdoors with fresh air around you really adds to the charm.
Overall, I think what stood out the most for me wasn’t just the food but the whole atmosphere. The freshness of the meal combined with that authentic local vibe made it memorable, even if it wasn’t the absolute best fish and chips in the world. It’s the kind of place I’d happily go back to just for the experience.

Nice setting beside water channel in Killarney town. Can sit in or outside. Can be busy.
Can buy both freshly fried fish or also buy frozen or fresh fish.
Prices can be quite high…
Quality not consistent. Some pieces can be nicely golden but some pieces were overly brown…
We stopped here for lunch on a North Channel boat tour to Killarney. We were excited to hear that they were serving pickerel. It was, hands down, the worst pickerel and chips we have ever had. The filets were so thin and overcooked that they were dry and rubbery. The Chips were undercooked and soggy. Other folks on the tour had fish and chips at the Sportsman Inn and sounds like theirs was a lot better. Wish we had made a different choice.
