I've always been greeted and served properly and respectfully by the servers the music is a nostalgic feel I know when people say bar they think rowdy no this is a comfortable place good food good service also they are very kind people there's outdoor seating in the summer months as well and there's ample parking out back unfortunately though for wheelchair accessibility that would mean you need to go through the front which may be a bit harder for parking but if you come with someone with you you getting around from the back of the building to the front should be easy cuz family is going to help and they can place you on the main floor there is a basement level an upper level an upper back deck I like this place they are good people they have a service as well for the community where they have the service called The purple heart system so if you go there and you want to purchase a purple heart with a purple heart is is it's for families who want dinner so if you go in and you ask for a purple heart it's a donated meal by somebody they don't make people feel bad for being in tough situations they treat everybody equal and honestly I say five stars the only reason I gave it like four stars for the atmosphere was just because of the one question about is it a fun place for kids birthday parties I'm sure it could be depending on the age of the kids but we got to remember it is a bar so that's not their fault and even if it was a kid's party there I'm sure they would do their best to still feel like a great experience sorry for rambling on I just I really really like this place they have helped me and my family when we were homeless never once have they looked at me like I was less than anybody else they've shown us nothing but respect their services were always appreciated they always very kind welcoming and I just wanted to make it clear that if you're traveling to Kincardine and you want to see a nice comfortable nostalgic feel while you enjoy a bite to eat it's a welcoming atmosphere for everybody

Bar Down has that true local pub atmosphere — the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other, and newcomers still feel right at home. The service was outstanding; our waitress checked on us often and made sure everything was perfect. The portions were huge and the meals were simple but absolutely delicious. Great spot for a relaxed evening, hearty food, and friendly service.

A couple of days ago I stopped into Bar Down in Kincardine to grab wings for my best friend as takeout, and I have to say, they were absolutely incredible! Perfectly cooked, sauced just right, and packed with flavor – hands down some of the best wings . The portions were generous, fresh, and clearly made with care.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and quick to get everything packaged up perfectly so it stayed hot and fresh all the way home. It really makes a difference when you can tell the team takes pride in what they’re serving and how they treat their customers.
Whether you’re grabbing a bite in the restaurant or picking up takeout like I did, Bar Down is a go-to spot in Kincardine. Great atmosphere, great people, and food that always hits the mark. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu – but those wings will definitely be a repeat order!

The straws were plastic which I adore! The Buffalo shrimp is to DIE FOR!!!!!!! I come all the way from Waterloo to get the shrimp! You need to have it once in your life!!! Love this place!
