Saturday morning breakfast. Staff acted like they'd rather be somewhere else. Service extremely slow. took over 1/2 hr to get waited on. Long faces no smiles. Table behind us had to have their breakfast redone do to the waitress forgetting to bring their order. We were asked what we wanted to drink, coffee and Hot water and lemon. Coffee was brought over, however they forgot to bring hot water, only the lemon was given to us. I hear dinner is good but breakfast staff has issues. will not go there for breakfast again.

Classic pub food with a great patio view - and sometimes even live jazz on the weekends. The staff were super kind and accommodating.

Stopped in several weeks ago while enjoying the Lake Huron coast -- the service was great, the food was great, and being on the back patio, the view was great! I would recommend this place.

Had a great dinner at the Bruce. Went with my wife for our anniversary. Our bartender/waitress was very personable and attentive. My wife had the mac and cheese with brisket, which was fantastic. I had the Bruce Caesar Combo, which was also great. Asked for medium rare and it was more medium but delicious none the less. And the sunset out on the patio was the perfect dessert to a great meal. Would definitely go back.

Good pub food and a good selection of beers on tap. Solid basic wine list with a variety of choices. Lots of TV’s over the bar for watching sports. Friendly staff were helpful and accommodating.

Food was really good, but service was very lacking. Was told by our server that she would be right back and take our drink order and never came back. We believe it was the manager that actually came and took our orders twenty minutes later. Bills were messed up and had to be fixed server blamed the mess up because she did not take the order.

Expect sunset views, good vibes, hard working staff, and consistently tasty foods.
You'll definitely expect to wait on the weekend - especially when other local restaurants are closed on a Sunday at dinner.
You can't go wrong with the patio by the water.
Everyone is happy to be there and you'll often catch people trying to catch a glimpse of other table's food at the staff brings it out.
Expect to get sassed right back by some waitresses if you give them a hard time (as it should be).
I'd be shocked if anything on the menu was not to your liking.
Locals and tourists, score a reservation. Go for the food and stay for the views.
You'll definitely be leaving full.

I have been a cook for 40 plus years and my wife and I went to The Bruce on our way home, I had never eaten there before . We both were hungry as we hadn’t eaten since 1030am. When we arrived it was 7 pm ,I am a very observant person, coming into the restaurant the hostess and waitress seated us promptly, there was 3 people sitting at the bar . Outside was about 1/2 full . We sat inside as it was getting cooler outside. We sat for a good 15 minutes before a waitress (Lesley) ( she was not dressed in style of that of her other co-workers ,she never introduced herself to use ,asked what we would like to drink and if we were ready to order. My wife asked for water and the Rainbow humus platter with vegetables. I asked for lemon water and the Big Johns Brisket with Mac a Cheese for a side .
We both were given lemon water ,we then waited over close to 50 minutes with out food, meanwhile other people came in(approximately 20 people ) that came in after us at 7 pm and had their food well before us .
I actually had to call the restaurant from my seat to get the manager on duty (Im assuming it was the head waitress) she came over to our table ,I explained the situation and it was then that action took place ,5 minutes later we had our food.
My wife looked at her order and asked the waitress (Lesley ) where was the vegetables,Lesley replied oh did you want the vegetables??? My wife felt surprised because I was sure when I looked at the menu that they were included. After she left I looked at the online menu and they were not included. When we left we looked at the menu again(the hard copy) and sure enough they were included The menu says for my order (BRISKET ) not shredded beef ends and the Mac and cheese was on the dry side no sauciness at all . The restaurant when we came in at 7pm was just under half full . We were not compensated with anything for the long wait or poor meal ,I’m at a loss of words as to how my experience was at The Bruce .

We have a small dog and we were not allowed to sit by the water but another with a huge dog sat there. When I asked the waitress why, she was not interested and wouldn't seat us there so unfortunately they lost our business and left.
