George’s on the Harbour has a more upscale atmosphere — beautiful setting with a great view and a classy, relaxed vibe. The service was excellent and attentive, and the food was delicious from start to finish. Perfect spot for a nice evening out or a special occasion.
Visited early Oct/25. Nice location and historical house setting, decent service, but the food was disappointing; too much vinegar(?) in a fancy salad, Angus steak was a tough chew, creme caramel only out of fridge. Need to focus on good and value, not trying to be trendy. And 'suggested' tip rates from 18% to 25%; seriously?
We were in luck to get a table spontaneously, everything else was already reserved.
Our server did a great job if recommendations, both on food and drinks. And her enthusiasm was fully valid.
The drinks were exceptional - the bartenders experimenting with flavors and not disappointing.
We ordered desert only this afternoon and were wow'ed.
We would definitely visit...
