Watercress Bistro in Kincardine exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was charming, and the service was outstanding. I had the soup and a BLT, both of which were absolutely amazing. The soup was rich and flavorful, and the BLT was perfectly crisp and delicious. Highly recommend this gem for a delightful dining experience!

Food is good, great fries and home fries-but the wait time is always absurd. We were not offered kids menu (not sure if they have one). We waited 1h to get our food (in a half full restaurant), and many items were forgotten. In this 1h the wait staff did not bring our ordered drinks (a water, soda, and a coffee)-I had to get up and ask for the drinks and cutlery. A couple items (such as gravy) were missing from our order, and we had to ask for the cutlery again. Overall, not worth the experience.

I've only had takeout while working as a locum ER doc at the local hospital but it's always been exceptional. As a travelling worker, I eat a lot of crappy takeout but this is tasty and healthy. Quiche and a salad. A simple roasted veggie wrap. I haven't really been in to comment on the ambiance but it looks nice from the outside. The staff has been helpful in clarifying the menu for some of our takeout orders when we weren't sure what a special really was like. A nice addition to the food scene in Kincardine.

The owner of the former Watercress sold it to the owner of Ashanti Coffee and it’s a horrible place. It took more than 20 minutes before being acknowledged and the item I wanted wasn’t available. I’m not the only one disappointed in this place.

Okay place if you’re in a bind for breakfast/lunch. The food is decent, but wait times are always 40 minutes or more.Atmosphere is okay, clean and friendly but nothing out of the ordinary.Unfortunately, the addition of the deep fryer in the kitchen ensures that customers always leave smelling like fryer oil.

Coffee and breakfast where terrificMiddle of construction made it hard to get too and construction workers ordering lunch caused some delays. Recommend a try.

The food was decent, but wasn't worth the over 40 minute wait after ordering. Staff were friendly but forgot to bring us drinks we had ordered and didn't check in on us. We stopped here because we were hoping for a quick lunch, as we arrived when there were few other patrons. It was a rough experience with a toddler.

Ordered 2 chicken caesar salads. They took forever to come - approx 45 minutes, even though restaurant was not that busy. They were OK, real bacon, and decent lettuce, but parmesan was powdered. Certainly not worth the long wait.

I decided to try this place based on the recommendation of a place where we stayed. Went in early in the morning hoping to get some good coffee. There was only one server. She's also the barista. I waited at the front for a while before she acknowledged me and took the order. I waited for another 15 mins to get my order as she was too busy tending tables and making the coffee at the same time. The coffee wasn't even at par. Disappointing. Initial plan was to go back and try their breakfast next but not with the service and wait time.

Second and last poor/totally dissatisfying visit. Employees have no sense of customer service whatsover! Ordered coffee, promised would deliver when fresh pot brewed. 15 minutes, being later had to go to counter and ask for it because waitress was preoccupied drying dishes and could see the full pot of coffee. What is more important, dry dishes or customer satisfaction?? Finally, with only 8 adults and 2 small children in restuarant order was taken. At least 20-30 minutes later pair of locals who arrived well after we were seated and ordered the same items, toasted western and a turkey club, received what was probably our order. This was the final straw, our patience was exhausted so paid for our beverages and left, NEVER TO RETURN!!! Excuse was that there were a number of takeout orders but only one person picked up a single order while we were there. This lack of service despite the fact that there were 4 employees milling about doing everything but looking after customers. Definitely DO NOT recommend visiting!!

Great location in downtown. The coffee was pretty good, breakfast was decent. Our server didn’t come back to check on us once we had our meals but was polite and friendly.

Really enjoy having the new owners of the restaurant take over. Love the little changes they have done to the menu. Their custom coffees are always a fan favourite, as well they have a yummy egg benedict.
