We visited Pine Farm Orchards as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). We paid $40 admission plus $40 for a bag of pick your own apples. I would not mind paying the $40 admission if it included something - wagon rides, activities for the kids, entertainment, etc. but there was nothing for the kids to do other than pick apples. That said, it’s way too overpriced. We went to Royal Orchards last year just a few minutes away. Admission is less (only $5 per kid instead of $10) and it included wagon rides, had a play area, entertainment, etc. Anyways, very disappointed in Pine Farm Orchards for charging $40 for a family of four for admission into a farm that doesn’t have anything for us to do other than pick apples.

This was the worst apple picking experience I have ever had. We usually go to Barrie Hill Farm, but someone recommended this place, not only was it $20 for us to just pick our own apples THERE WERE NO APPLES. we walked out of there with $8 in apples. Everything was either rotten, eaten by bugs or SUPER tiny. There was rows and rows of no apples, even stuff that should be in season. The apples they had in their little market were 10x better than PYO. We didn’t even bother with the cafe. Such a waste of a trip and money

Nice farm but a little pricy.

What an amazing place to spend a few hours! Pine Farms was well organized, reasonably priced, and had a plethora of different apples. Staff was extremely friendly and a live musician was on site.

After picking apples, make sure to enjoy a treat and a drink from their cafe! it’s both family and dog friendly with lots of room to sit. Would 100% come back!

My partner and I wanted to take a nice fall day drive and what better motivation than to go apple picking. Pine Farms is a medium sized you pick orchard with a very good retail area. The apples (galas and honeycrisp) were smallish, but tasty and firm. If we had gone for serious apple picking we may have been disappointed. But it was a nice drive and the apple picking experience topped off the day.

A stunnnnnning orchard with so much to offer. From an amazing variety of produce to the cutest cafe with amazing coffee. This orchard is top notch when it comes to fall experiences. And the people were so kind and thoughtful. OH and they allow dogs! Highly recommend.

This was a great orchard before! We came every year. But now it is very busy and expensive. Trees were empty and we had to walk a lot to pick one apple. Long lines for small portions of food. Not so friendly staff and overpriced entry and products. Need to find a new orchard.

Horrible service. I would never go back. Try going to Royal Orchards. It’s a 5 min drive west from Pine Farms and far better quality apples.

Shitty place with no parking structure. Very unorganized . Fees to enter is to extreme. $10 per person to pick apples??? What in the world. Anyways. Won’t bother coming again.

Not sure if we had a bad experience because we came on a Saturday and it was crowded but there are some issues with this orchard that I think are there regardless of the crowd.

Firstly, they charge each adult and child an admission fee of $10 for nothing but entering the orchard. Ok. Then apples are 2.35 a pound. So you end up paying $40+for 2-3 pounds of apples depending on how many are in your party. So the price point is not that great. But whatever, it’s the experience I’m paying for right? Wrong. There isn’t much to experience except picking mcintosh apples and getting run over.

The main issue is disorganization and safety. We went Saturday and it was crowded, they had cops on the property. My child almost got hit by a car. There is no designated parking and people are directed to park right in-between the orchards. So you really have to keep a close eye on your little ones because at the end of each row, you can get hit by a car! Instead of enjoying picking apples, we were busy redirecting our kids (2-3 yr olds) away from the cars. Cars are driving on the same grassy walkways that pedestrians are using to get from one row to another row. This place is an accident/tragedy waiting to happen. There is poor reception too so if you come with other people, stick together. If you park at different ends, it can take time to find each other.

Lastly, the orchard is huge and lots of planted varieties but the honeycrisp, gala, and others we told were there were either picked dry or going bad. The main variety you can get right now in abundance is spartan and mcintosh.

We didn’t even enter the farm store because the line was crazy long. Overall, I wouldn’t come here again because I’ve picked apples around the GTA for much less hassle and money. And if you’re debating coming here, come on a weekday or drive a little farther out and go somewhere else.

Saw it had 4.3 stars but very disappointed. Paid for 4(2 adults and 2 kids under 8) and didn't pick a single apple. Either trees were empty or apples not yet ripe. When we first drove up, it was closed due to capacity. Waited 15 mins to get in. Wish we had gone to another orchard.
