Colasanti's Tropical Gardens

My husband and I attended the BIKER BREAKFAST held at Colasanti's Tropical Gardens today, January 5th, 2025. As always everything was well-organized, and Colasanti's kitchen staff graciously helped out in ensuring a hassle-free "all-you-can-eat breakfast/lunch. We made new friends as well as rekindled friendship with the bikers community. What a beautiful way to start 2025❣️

It was our second time at Colasanti's. We were there last fall season and it's almost the end of spring as of this time. First, we enjoyed our broasted chicken lunch. It was quite tasty. The coffee with a shot of hazelnut was flavorful. Shopping for plants was interesting, there were so many beautiful choices. We ended up just buying the small planter that's shaped like a whale, it's a cool gift idea. Best of all, my husband and I enjoyed taking instant pictures together, that was a lot of fun!

I visited Colasanti's many years ago with my brother and his 2 young kids 3 and 4 years old. The kids got to ride around in a wagon and the gardens and birds were so interesting. A fun time was had by all. Nothing like this in the city!

This place holds a lot of fond memories, the chicken is unbelievable. So delicious. The plants are plentiful and cheap! Go for lunch, and plant decor shopping… but avoid the “zoo”. It’s not what it used to be. It is more empty enclosures and sad birds in cages than anything. We happy they no longer have big cats, but those macaws, and parrots are so sad to see in their cages. Feathers all nappy and oily.. considering it’s their logo…you’d expect it to have the most attention. We’ll continue to go back, the mini putt is fun, and the arcade is a cash grab but a great way for the kids to have fun and blow off steam. …just that zoo… it’s gotta go.

Some games at the arcade are always out of service, some don't give tickets, now it's waiting list for Santa, no spots available. So unfair

This is a nice place for family outings. The food here is great.

Was happy to see that all the arcade games were fully functional on our last visit.

Colasanti's Tropical Gardens is a multi-generation Garden Centre. Their quality and selection of tropical plants is out of this world. Colasanti's does a lot of amazing things for their community too.

They do a great Boo Bash for Toddlers they all had fun

Picked up a cactus, and it fell out of the pot. The bottom was full of root rot that the core of the cactus had a hole in it. Their product placement is not the best. It's impossible to find orchid or soil mix, because it's hidden in a corner, in the back of a place. They never have orchid plastic pots. And why is there only one person working the floor?

This place used to be a huge part of our family growing up. Going to mini golf, look at the zoo, play in the arcade and play at the park and rides they had. It never was a boring time at Colasantis!! And still it's always a fun day there.

But sadly half of the fun nowadays is reminiscing of a better past bc they've gotten rid of most of what I remember. Maybe just because of Covid or what not but now other than the zoo and minigolf/arcade there isn't much else to do. I miss the bumper cars, rides, shooter arcade and all of that side. Whether it was me enjoying it or watching my little cousins enjoy it, I loved it and I wish they didn't take it all away.

And it's sad the Zoo keeper passed because his shows were amazing!! and now it's blocked off and probably never gonna happen again.

I love looking at the plants and decor they have, but that's maybe like a 20 minute walk around and I usually don't buy anything.

The food is okay but I skip it usually and I'm sad the fudge store is closed bc that was always cool to see. Their donuts on the other hand are a MUST try bc they are the BEST you will EVEEEEER have!!!!

In the end I will definitely come back from time to time to walk around for an hour, golf and game... but it'll make me just as sad as I'll be happy because I'll always remember a better time back when I was young at Colasantis ?

Decorated nice for Halloween. Good prices, good food and friendly staff. Animals to see and games to play.
