It would definitely be a mistake to expect a good sushi restaurant in a Western food dominant small town. The miso soup is too salty with only tofu in it. Beef teriyaki ihas mixed coold and warm components. Sashimi is paper thin. Very expensive for the quality.

I thought I knew what sushi was before I ate here. Sweet 7lb Baby Jesus, it was the best sushi I've ever eaten. And the service was super friendly.

We were visiting from Michigan and Koi Sushi was recommended by the owner of the Airbnb we were renting. We all were very excited to get the all you can eat dinner! The appetizers were all amazing, but the egg rolls and onion blossom were top tier! We ordered a total of 8 rolls and all of them were expertly made with such fresh ingredients! Cant wait to come back next time and try more rolls! Our kids even tried every single roll! The Las Vegas roll and the Rock and Roll were some favorites!

Great sushi but they need to hire more than one waitress for dinner time.

Visiting from the US on vacation in Essex, we drove into Kingsville for a bite to eat. Not really up for a heavy meal so early in the afternoon, we chose Koi. And I’m so glad we did. The place is small, but very neat and tidy. We ordered a salmon roll, shrimp roll, seaweed salad, koi salad, miso soup and spring rolls. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back on our next trip.

Im guessing most reviews come from sushi. But other then that and the things you need to just warm or deep fry. The meals that take actual effort is sad. I’m very disappointed I wasted my hard earned money on this. Idk how you get away with calling this general tao chicken. Maybe most your customers aren’t asain or know what asain food is suppose to be like. The general Tao chicken was literally cut up chicken nuggets with a splash off sweet and sour sauce served with plain white rice for $18? Crazy. Never again just because of this. Do better please.

Love this place. Their rice bowls are excellent. I do not like any sort of fish, but they have a variety of sushi options without fish which is nice. Their egg-rolls are awesome, and Nan likes the wonton soup!

I am very disappointed with their professionalism and how they handle dietary restrictions information. Will not be coming back here.
