Highly recommend. Service was great right when we walked in until we left after dinner. Food was fantastic. The restaurant itself was very appealing. Kind of a rustic feel. But elegant at the same time. Will definately return for another meal next time we're in the Kingsville area.

We often drive from Amherstburg to Kingsville to enjoy a fabulous meal or light lunch at Mettawas Station. The menu changes frequently to offer seasonal delights while keeping the favourite dishes available too. In spring, summer, or fall we can ride our bikes on the trail and stop by for a drink on the patio. This is a perfect choice for entertaining guests...out of town guests love the ambience of the old train station and easy access to biking and walking trails or downtown Kingsville. Professional staff and chef.

I took my husband to Mettawas Station Mediterranean Restaurant for his birthday. We truly enjoyed the food. Our server Stacey was friendly and pleasant. We ordered the perch and pickerel, excellent choice. My husband also got a complimentary birthday dessert, to die for. We would definitely go back.

We had another exceptional experience at Mettawas! Michael did a great job of taking care of us, our changing number of guests and helping us pick our wine. He is a gem!

We planned a weekend getaway and dinner at the Mattawa was to be a high point. We had eaten there before. We made reservations a few weeks prior to our arrival. Walking up to the restaurant we saw a few diners on the patio and most of the tables empty (6:30PM) We were met at the door and noticed a large party (15+) along the one wall of women celebrating a bridal shower. They were quite loud and boisterous. To our chagrin the host offered us to a table beside this party. I immediately asked for a different table and he said that wasn't possible? He did say he had asked the bridal party to quieten down...lol. I suggested a table outside but he said they would be full in 40 minutes and had no other table to offer. The restaurant was less then accommodating. We left.

The food was excellent as always! However, the service felt a little too fast. We had ordered an appetizer and a drink with the intention of relaxing before ordering dinner. The waitress asked a few times if we were ready, so we went ahead and placed our dinner order—not realizing it would be served immediately after our appetizer. We ended up in and out within an hour, which wasn't the relaxing dinner we had hoped for. We did notice the patio was full and a larger group was just arriving as we were leaving, so perhaps that's why service was quicker than usual. Still, a slightly slower pace would have made the evening more enjoyable.

What a great evening! It had been a little while since our last visit as we spend summer out of town, but what a great dinner to come home too! It certainly has been getting harder for people to decide where they are going to go out to spend there money when it comes to dining out. But Mettawas never disappoints! Great food options that change seasonally paired with a friendly welcome & excellent, knowledgeable service (Thank you Michael & Aleisha this evening) Thank you to the Mettawas team for a great night out with Family! First time eating here it’s a hidden gem nestled in Kingsville historic train station.
The ambience was nice , the waitress Michelle was really nice & the food was fantastic. Definitely will go back.
