I had a terrible experience at this pub. First when we arrived we were told to have a seat, no one came to us for almost 10 minutes as the hosts were glued to their phone while vaping and consistently taking selfies. After we ordered our food which is over priced for what it was, we had to go to our host which she had looked very annoyed that I interrupted her phone time to give us our bill. The lack of attention and professionalism was appalling. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and attentive dining experience. We ended up going to Bolton Jacks which was a WAY better experience!

The ladies didn’t bother to seat us they just pointed to table. When we went up to ask for the bill, the lady was very rude and just kept staying on her phone. The waitress that was serving our table was on her phone the whole time. The waitress didn’t bother to come and ask how the food was. The food was ok nothing I could not get anywhere else.

We stopped in on a rainy day for lunch. Received great service, food was delicious (pub type food) Learnt there's an outdoor back patio in the summer months with entertainment and an Italian restaurant opening upstairs. We'll be back to check it out.

A friend and I went here just to talk about stuff. This place is located in pretty much the basement of another establishment. There is not too much seating here, but nonetheless, there was a table available for us upon entry. The menu is alright and has items that most people like, as well as a wide selection of drinks. We got the poutine for the table, and it was alright. For my main I got the Montreal-style smoked meat on white bread (I asked for that instead of rye, they were able to accommodate). The meat was really good and the fries were crispy. They had a dessert menu which has a couple slices of cake, of which we shared a chocolate cake. Everything took a while to come out, which I am not going to blame on the servers but more the restaurant on having such low staff. Two people on a Saturday night is absurd. The prices are fair, I suppose. And I am not sure if we came on the wrong night, but it was REALLY loud. I won’t be back, and I do pity the employees here, it’s not their fault.

the only reason i gave 2 stars is because the ladies who work there are really nice. the place is gross and furniture is visiblydeteriorating. dont get me started on the food... i dont think i ever ate worse tacos in my life. Nachos looked like they were reheated. I had the worst stomach ache afterwards.

We had visited the McMichael (amazing!) and wanted lunch at 2 pm. Kleinburg had a dearth of choices: most of the restaurants were closed, but looked so "high end" we would not have chosen them anyway. Then we drove by the Burg Pub; although it is below street level, we saw the illuminated "open" sign, so we found a parking space (no simple deal) and made our way to the Burg. The door we entered was by the illuminated open sign. A group of four was waiting to be seated. I don't say, "table of four" because, like us, they did not get a table. A woman came over, brusquely told us that the restaurant was "at capacity", and told us to leave. We did.FYI: I know very well that issues arise (no shows, illnesses, kitchen emergencies) which require an early closing of a business. But if you are closed to further customers, turn off your open sign!!!!! Had the sign not been on, we would not have taken the trouble to park and walk, and this restaurant would not have another one star review.

We had a great time at the Burg! Our server was friendly and knew the menu really well. Between our party of four, we split a few apps, a bottle of wine and each ordered our own main. For the apps, we had the bruschetta, fried calamari and fries, these were all incredibly fresh and tasty. For my main, I had the grilled salmon tacos and was really happy with it. Overall, the portions were great, our food came out hot and on time and the service and atmosphere was very good. We’ll definitely be back.

Super excited to get together with old friends and celebrate our 50th birthdays. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Should have been a red flag. There were 10 of us. They had the table in a weird L configuration, so we rearranged it, so people didn’t have their back to others. It’s not like there was anyone else in there. Overpriced drinks and food. Cheapest glass of wine was $20. First server was pleasant enough but seemed flustered taking orders. We ordered food. It took 1 1/2 to arrive. My chicken wrap was ok, but mainly lettuce and not much chicken. Fries were good. My husband ordered the linguine. It was cold and a very small portion that tasted like Ragu was dumped on the noodles. Don’t order the bruschetta. It was a greasy oily mess. Then a very sour waitress came and dropped the bill on the table and said it is one bill and gratuities have already been added. It certainly would not have been hard to divide the bill (there were 5 couples!) and still no one else in the place. It was so rude. I have never been in a restaurant where the waitstaff was not able to divide a bill. After one of the guys had paid, we wanted to take a group photo. I had my scarf and phone on the table. The sour waitress starts spraying the table before we had even left. Was she going to wipe the table with my scarf? Seriously, if your scene is self entitled young people this is your place. If not, find somewhere elsewhere.

Place was empty on a night where all the other restaurants in town were full. First red flag. Worse chicken tacos I’ve had, burger was over done. The coconut shrimp as an appetizer must of been out of a box, the topping for the taco was bruschetta straight out of a container from the grocery store. They at least let me sample their different draft beers. Wouldn’t go back again.
