Loved the food here in previous years but tonight we were very disappointed. We had pickerel and fries. Both the fish and fries were soggy. We asked for a 2 piece order to be split into 2 containers as we were told by them to do on a previous visit. They charged for an extra container (I was ok with that) but didn't split the order, just gave us an extra container. Overall the service and food was very disappointing. I don't expect to return.

We stopped in after a beach day to get some fries. The food was delicious for a “French fry truck”, however, service isn’t fast. Be prepared to wait a good 15-20 minutes for your order (for reference, I ordered a poutine, a plain fry and a hot dog). There was plenty of seating room outside at picnic tables to enjoy the food after you receive it from the pick up window. Atmosphere was as expected, pretty low key and a welcoming place after a beach visit with the kids in tow.
Parking: There is plenty of parking in the oversized parking lot. Easy to come and go from.
Kid-friendliness: A very low key atmosphere, perfectly acceptable to have your children with you. Seating is outdoors at picnic tables.

Just picked up the 6 piece perch combo and a 2 piece pickerel combo, put them in my motorcycle saddle bags and headed back to Grand Bend. My wife and I think they have the best fish around! Great variety on their menu and really good burgers too👍. Thanks for feeding us😋

Arrived 30 mins before closing with lots of vehicles in the lot and a line up for orders.
That said staff were great, service was quick (roughly 20 minute wait) and the fish fabulous!
Place was pretty much cleared out by 7:30 pm. My go to place when in Forst and I'll be back for more!
EDIT - July 2024: Just utterly speechless, I really do not know what happened to this place. I’ve been going to this place for over 8 years at least 5-10 times a year. This place has always been relative slow, 20-30 minutes for food, however during my most recent visit we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for a damn hotdog and ranch fries. There was at least 20 other people waiting just as long.
I’m not sure why they kept on taking more orders but they didn’t stop, at one point people started storming out and they didn’t even react.
My fries weren’t even cooked all the way and half the size they used to be.
I just can’t believe the time I wasted here for a hotdog and fries with no care from the staff.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of fish and chips considering my occupation. You will feel welcome the moment you walk through the door and your fish will be ready usually in under 5 minutes. We love this place!

We have been fans of Rob's fries for years. However, recently Rob's has changed hands and the quality widely varies. We accepted there would be changes, likely less quantity etc but the variance is extreme
Tonight - the mushrooms were extremely small, not even a mouthful
And what's this with a chicken poutine with beef gravy? It would have made a world of difference to have poultry gravy. DUH
Seriously disappointed as the prices are up there.
We might consider going once more BUT the quality control needs some serious work.
