Linda and I discovered the South Glengarry a few months ago, loved it, and have visited several times.
Yesterday we arrived for supper and were warned that service might be a bit slow because they were short-handed. However, we were seated promptly, and served not only by the regular waitress but also by Abby, who confided to us that she was usually a dishwasher but was helping out in the dining room.

we stopped in today after seeing Bruce Springsteen in Montreal last night. super service, great food and reasonable prices. A great family restaurant!
