The South Glengarry Restaurant

Im a truck driver and parked at Flying J and walked there. It was like a 5 min walk which was refreshing for myself. They closed at 8pm so I ordered take out. When I got there at 745pm and they let me sit and eat it. Which was great for me because I was worried it would get cold on my walk back. I ordered the fish and chips and poutine for the first time ever. It was so good. Service was amazing. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

First time eating here the food is amazing. The service is 10 out of 10. Everything was perfectly well cooked fast and waitresses are on top of things totally recommend this place

Initially ordered for pickup because I was worried we wouldn’t make it before close. Ended up making it 40 mins before close and asked staff if we’d be able to eat there. They happily accommodated us and even offered to get us more fries incase the ones from our order got cold. The fish and chips were amazing!! Fish was crisp and so good.

Linda and I discovered the South Glengarry a few months ago, loved it, and have visited several times. Yesterday we arrived for supper and were warned that service might be a bit slow because they were short-handed. However, we were seated promptly, and served not only by the regular waitress but also by Abby, who confided to us that she was usually a dishwasher but was helping out in the dining room. Abby did a fantastic job, getting us waters and additional napkins and wet wipes (Wing Night, yum!), always eager to please and with a smile on her face. We were most impressed with her abilities and recommend her for a waitress position if and when it becomes available. And the food was delicious, as usual!

Ate there after a bike ride (i.e. starving!). The staff was friendly and attentive. Food was unimpressive. Clean bathrooms.

This restaurant is definately worth stopping at. The food is excellent the service is excellent and its got a nice relaxing atmosphere. The mushroom swissburger is amazing with onion rings and they provide garlic dip for the rings. Bring some breath mints!

Service was a bit light and the wait was long. The servers seemed a bit overwhelmed — possibly just too many customers at once.

That said, the food was good, the coffee was great, and the prices were reasonable.
