My husband and I just ordered 3 dinners from this restaurant for takeout. This was our first time trying their food. When we went to open the containers, we noticed the chicken was over cooked and dried out. Nevertheless, we tried a few pieces, and as we predicted, it was terrible - very dry and rubbery texture. We called and complained and the young man answering the phone did not care. He was rude and refused to fix the situation in any way. First and last time going to this restaurant. Plus we asked for fried rice and received streamed rice.

Most of the positive reviews of this restaraunt indicate that citizens of windsor have different expectations of japanese teriyaki chicken rice. I have had this dish in many countries including japan where the dish is held to atleast a certain standard. In this case I got dry white meat chicken with little sauce? Even after adding various sauces the dryness of the chicken still made the dish not very good. Most asian people would not find this restaraunt catering to their japanese food needs. I would try again if they switched to dark meat and added more sauce.

I ordered the double chicken but received barley any chicken maybe less than 12 mini pieces. The chicken was very dry and bland and had to dump sauce on it just to have some flavour in it

I opted for the Jerry's Special.. as it was all the rave on my local Facebook Food Spotters group and I wasn't disappointed. Doesn't look like much, but it was delicious and filling. I got the spicy and my partner got the regular. We will be back. Thank you, Jerry!

“Jerry’s Special” is the way to go!! Definitely one of the best spots for lunch or dinner. Always fast service and takeaway is easy to pickup.

I have loved this place for decades. Quality and portions and service are all excellent. The Jerry special has been a staple of my eating out enjoyment. Keep them coming Jerry!

Love this restaurant ....the Miso soup is fantastic, the food choices are healthy and bountiful. Jerry and Amy, the owners are lovely human beings...always wonderfully attentive while working hard to provide the best food and service. Prices are reasonable.
