I’ve lived in LaSalle for 30 years, and never thought I’d find food this good right here in the neighborhood. Thank goodness Dandan second location here — finally, real, authentic flavors without having to drive 10km. So glad you’re here!

The owners changed. The quality of food changed and their recipe for the hot & sour soup has went from perfect to pathetic. Wish I was exaggerating but I haven’t been this disappointed I a long time. Should have kept the same owners or at least, their recipes. This sucks. 👎

Very disappointed new owners maybe? Fried rice over cooked dry, sweet and sour chicken couldn't get sauce on it they put it in a small cardboard box. Was one of the top for Chinese not anymore.

We have been customers of Red Sun for at least 30 years. Our children were raised on weekly visits to the restaurant to visit Sharon. Our favourites were the hot n sour soup and the chicken or house fried rice. We were so excited to place an order for the soup and fried rice but were EXTREMELY disappointed! The hot n sour soup was bland ( tasted like a thick chicken soup….with no meat) and the fried rice was dry and had little to no flavour or chicken. Will definitely not be ordering from here again. Do yourself a favour and order from any other Chinese restaurant within a 25 mile radius.!!!! That’s what we are going to do from now on!! We Miss you Sharon!!

Well I've been going to Red Sun for over 30 years, now it's changed owners, the food doesn't taste anything like what it use to, egg rolls barely have anything inside them, the soup noodles are thinner and soup broth is bland, the chicken fried rice is disgusting, it just reminds me or Windsor's crappy chinese restaurants, will have to look around for another Chinese restaurant that taste good.

Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ordered from now with the option to order online easily with a larger menu, but disappointed with the new general tao, the old one was 10000% better

You have to be inebriated to enjoy this food. It was very bad.
Great service and very nice people but it’s easily one of the worst Chinese places I’ve had in the city

Got food from this place a few weeks ago as it was my favourite place to go to growing up, the rice and gravy both taste and smelled like an ashtray everything else was over cooked and uneditable, will never return

Edit: friends gave me there leftover take out from this place the other day and it has not changed at all still has the same cigarette smell in and taste in the gravy and everything was way over cooked, also no fortune cookies again what gives

This is my favourite restaurant. I've been eating here since I was a kid, so, more than 2 decades. Their chicken balls are so good because they're not manufactured and 80% breading like most places.
I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food.

Loved Red Sun for years it was my favorite restaurant. The last time we ate there was disappointing the fried rice was so good this time it had more than I liked white pepper. The chicken soup was amazing at the restaurant, but you couldn't dine in when we were there. Just take it out. I hope things get straightened out one day, but we are waiting to see what happens.
