We had been to the Moonlight when they first opened and enjoyed it. It was a nice change from all the fast food mexican restaurants that are spread around Leamington. We were impressed. However, this time, not so much. It had been a while since we had been out to eat at a restaurant. The restaurant itself is nice. Comfortable chairs, lighting with a touch of elegance. However, the dollar store salt and pepper shakers with the dollar store price tags still on them were not a nice touch. Purchasing regular fillable salt and shaker would have added so much. Also, when we sat down, someone approached our table, told us the special then walked away. We were never asked if we wanted a drink. Our server then showed up ready to take our order. We had a special burger and a steak. I then had to add we wanted some drinks because we were never asked. My salad, which came with my meal came at the same time as my husbands burger. By the time I was finished my salad, he was almost finished his meal. My steak finally arrived, which I shared with hubby. Meal was good but the steak was a bit tough. All in all, I can't really say we would go back. Having not been out for a long time because of health issues, I have to say we were kind of disappointed.

Delicious food with a large selection of options. I love that they serve fresh bread and salad with all entrees like most restaurants use to. Adds to the value and experience.

I ordered the Royal Victorian Salad for take-out, and I had a lot of mixed feelings about it.
This is what comes in the salad:
Royal Victoria Salad
Two boiled eggs topped with Hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, cucumber, onions, walnuts & extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Firstly, I noticed that the boiled eggs had that green ring around the yolk. It didn't deter me from eating the salad because I know the reason why this happens; it just isn't exactly appealing to look at.
The salmon had some grey/browning which I wasn't really sure about, so I cut it out and tossed it.
My first bite, I hurt my tooth because I bit into an olive and didn't realize they weren't pitted.
The mix of the hollandaise sauce and the extra virgin olive oil dressing was interesting, but I didn't really mind the taste in the long run. I added chicken breast to the salad and it seems a little bit dry and a bit hard to cut into smaller bite sized pieces. I did however like that they packaged the chicken separately from the salad to add in after.
This was a big salad and I felt it needed a larger container to fit all the ingredients without layering it too much, it was too small of a container to toss it in any way so some ingredients I didn't get too until halfway through.
Overall, it was a good salad, I ate it all! I just think these little things make a huge difference for presentation.
They also added complimentary sweet bread, which I thought was a kind touch. It was really moist and delicious.
The man that greeted me was extremely polite and friendly and the restaurant was quite nice inside, I wished I had gotten my meal to eat in instead of take-out.
I'm still curious to see what else they have to offer, I would try them again.

At least the food was hot. Waited over 45 minutes just for our simple burger orders and fish. Not even during rush hour. The staff seem to have forgotten condiments on a simple burger. The fact that we were only one of like three tables and waited as long as we did. We weighed our options if we were to even eat.

If I could give 10 stars for service I would. Jonathan truly went above and beyond to take care of our party of 6. None of us have experienced such a high level of service and this was my first time dining out in Leamington since we are from out of town. Safe to say, whenever we are back this is the only place we would like to give our business to. The food was delicious and extremely large portions. Cannot recommend it enough!!!!

A very calm and pleasant place with great music and friendly service. The menu is diverse with plenty of options to choose from. We ordered breakfast dishes (the Pancake Bomb and Egg Victoria), and the portions were huge. The coffee was also very good. I was really happy with both the food and the overall experience, highly recommended!

I have been here several times for dinner with adult family. The atmosphere is inviting. The food is fantastic! Last night we shared souvlaki, beef and shrimp kebabs so that we could taste test them all. They were all delicious and filling with a large compliment of veggies and roasted potatoes. Their Greek salad is sizeable and nestled on a bed of fresh spinach.

Our server was phenomenal! He was energetic and extremely personable! He is of Venezuelan roots and easily switched between Spanish and English when waiting tables. He is an asset to this already wonderful restaurant.

I am planning a group breakfast here. My mother frequents the Moonlight quite often for lunch with her friends.

If you are not from Leamington, the Moonlight is well worth your drive.

There’s absolutely no way all those 5-star ratings are real. As we were walking in, a group of diners were storming out, saying they will never return.

We were a group of eight and spent there nearly four hours.

Everything took forever.

The food wasn’t great, the tables were wobbly, and the cutlery wasn’t very clean.
We had one jug of water for the whole table, and only some of us were given glasses.
At one point we were handed empty plates, only for a different server to come by and remove them again.

On top of that, the tables around us sat with dirty dishes.

The servers seemed like nice people, but I’m not sure this is the right line of work for them.

I’ve never had a more chaotic dining experience - so if chaos is what you’re looking for, I guess this is the place.
