I love making special trips to KWB. I live about 45 minutes away, but it is absolutely worth the drive to get donuts as a treat. They have the best sausage rolls around too. The staff are always so kind and helpful and I always enjoy going. The best bakery around.

Franko's apple fritters are beyond phenomenal. Went in last month for a batch an came home with something resembling an apple fritter but no glaze an one apple piece! It was more like a ball of cinnamon dough that was baked and happened to pick up an apple piece in the process.
This week i go in an can PHYSICALLY SEE THE FRITTER DIFFERENCE. so i asked the nice ladies behind the counter about who makes the fritters an they told me there are two guys who make them. That other guy? Makes horrible "fritters". Franko? Makes the best fritter in the kawartha lakes. Will absolutely be keeping an eye out for Franko fritters!

I often go get bread from this bakery. However, today I went there and asked an employee to cut the bread for me. He was just using his phone before he touched the bread, which I was not very impressed with... Please pay more attention next time when handling food with barehands.
I recently tried the coconut raspberry tart at Kawartha Bakery, and it was delightful! The combination of the coconut and raspberry flavours was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious treat in a cozy bakery.

The food is not only fair priced it's quite good and the people are so kind and helpful and generous! One of the tags was a little loose on my bagel bag and they fell unto the floor. Now I was picking them up and about to leave but they said no you aren't gonna do that and gave me a free bag because it spilt! Such kind people and great shop! It's a must visit at least 1 time but you'll end up going there more after 1 visit

Don't understand the hype of this place. Doughnuts are mediocre, bread tastes stale after a day especially the sub buns. The pitas are great however.

Thursday August 29. PNothing beats the smell of baking bread. Got a loaf of cheese bread which was delicious and butter tarts which were okay but too much pastry for my liking. One staff member in store was nice. Cashier just wanted to cash you out and move on to the next. No smile, please, thank you and no good bye.

Brie and Jeff are amazing, as well as all the staff I have met there! Thank you for running such a fine oiled machine at Kawartha Bakery! I literally drive 35 mins out of my way to only buy all my bread and baked goods here!
