I have to think that this restaurant has new management since December of 2023. The last time I had their food was also before December of 2023 and we loved it.
But the food we got August of 2025 was very different. The Egg Rolls were smaller than Spring Rolls and almost empty. The breaded shrimp was all bread. What happened to the Tempura Shrimp? The Lemon Chicken did not taste like chicken, was so hard it could not be bitten and the lemon sauce had so much food colouring it stained our fingers for days. Used to be a go to spot. I won’t go again.

Definitely our family's favourite place for Chinese food! Always so flavorful and my kids absolutely loves their chicken chow mein, egg rolls and beef broccoli! Owner is very personable and remembers our family's order. ❤️

Worst possible chinese food i have ever eaten. Chicken wings had about a quarter of an inch breaded and the inside was raw not cooked enough ,the fried rice tasted like it's was cooked from the day before. Food was overpriced and portion was very small ,not worth the price. Never will I buy this food again even if I am starving.

Just the fondest pf memories of visiting this place as a kid as our first entrance point in Manitoulin Island year after year. The food is excellent and a very good deal.

First time customer. We have been to many Chinese food restaurants in Ontario. China City Manitoulin has affordable prices. Food seemed to be home made. The egg rolls were easy to eat. Huge pieces of meat in the dishes. Scrumptious chicken chop suey. Chicken balls were mostly meat and less dough. It was like getting take out at a friend's place.We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant.

Restaurant was filled with boxes and dirty. Food tasted like chemicals and shrimp was freezer burnt. Wonton soup was gross we ended up throwing out over 100 dollars worth of food. Everyone in our home got sick from eating the food. Do not recommend.

Really not good. Got sweet sour pork with sauce on side, was mostly breading with tiny pieces of pork randomly throughout and weird breading in the middle, gross. Honey garlic ribs, ok, fair amount of meat but tasted very salty, not very honey or garlicy. Egg rolls not filled much and not to my liking taste wise. Special fried rice had those tiny baby shrimps that don't taste good and frozen peas and corn. Definitely do not recommend.

Worst food ever lo mein was gross and not mixed right the sweet and sour pork was even worst throw away 80 percent of the food I got from here stay away and the lady steals tips from you by not allowing you to use the machine right to say no or how much a tip they want. My order was 41 she told me and was on the machine next I get a notification from my bank she toke 47 dollars food was gross and expensive then they steal tips without your permission not a honest or respectful business. Don't waste your hard money on dishonest people.
