Honestly, breakfast buffet wasn’t good, and the dinner was a hit or miss. I only gave it a good review because of the waitress I had, she was a sweetheart and understanding. My colleagues fried bread (bannock) was so bad, we are indigenous folk so the bannock was too carnival-like to us. Anyways, the waitress went above and beyond with a discount for the mishaps in the kitchen. Thanks ‘David Bowie’ 🙏

Dietary restrictions: They took off sauce I couldn’t eat and redid the meal quite quick

Had the meatball sub, my wife had the whitefish dinner. The whitefish was deep fried, over done and forgotten. The meatball sub was good, but I neglected to be notified that all I got was the sub, no side to go with it.

Service was slow only because they were understaffed. The servers were putting up with a lot from the customers. The young lady who served us was a pro and my heart goes out to her for all the crap she was putting up with.

Customers can be jerks

As an aside, be aware there is an off-season menu where choices are limited.

Breakfast buffet was fairly expensive and not the best. They had an omelette station but no one working at it. They had cereal but no milk and no Orange juice. Just not a great experience!

The evening buffet is somehow always empty, the breakfast buffet is quite good. Both acceptable for the fixed price.

My husband and I had the dinner buffet. It was rather disorganized and slow when we arrived from seating to getting water and even utensils as well as payment. When we asked for clarification the employees were unaware of the answers. The food was good and we enjoyed the setting. Once, things calmed down the waitress was much more attentive and friendly. We did enjoy our dinner, we missed out on one dish as they ran out. Kind of surprised as we were there before 6 and it goes until 9. When asked if there was another item instead for a replacement no one seemed to know. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will return. Fish would be excellent to maintain daily for those who don't eat meat or prefer Halal meats.

Excellent experience. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and the meals were absolutely delicious. I appreciate the availability of vegan/vegetarian options! Also love that there's an emphasis on local and Anishinaabe foods. Patio was beautiful!

It was a rainy day so we could not enjoy the patio. The inside looks like a mess hall so don't expect much. The highlight was the food, I had a bison burger andy partner the fried bread with bison chili, they were both amazing the taste, the texture and the consistency. As per the other reviews the service is slow (we were the only clients and it took them more than 20mins to cook our orders). So be ready for a long wait when they are busy but the food is good and the patio definitely has a view.

Went for breakfast was nice and quiet. Hands down the best breakfast I’ve had, the eggs were actually scrambled and not like an omelet cut up like most places! Sooo good! Servings were huge!

I eat here lots, it's got really great farm fresh eggs for breakfast, and lots of local produce.

Vegetarian options: They had tempeh sandwiches! Delicious.

Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free/gluten friendly items on the menu, including gf bread, buns and pasta. Also sometimes chicken fingers, breaded fish can be done with a gf coating.

I stopped going to this restaurant a while back because of horrible food and uncaring management, but I had a friend in town who stayed at the hotel, so I joined her for breakfast. Nothing has changed. Food is still under par and priced way too high. Manager is difficult, so it's useless talking to him. Wait staff is the only great thing going for this restaurant.

The Anishinaabe taco is a real specialty here and made with a bison chili, which is really tasty. The fry bread is also cut into bite-sized pieces, which I appreciate. I've come here in all seasons and I really enjoy this restaurant. It's my favourite part about staying at the hotel.
