Golden Palace

Our first experience here. Girl, who took order was very nice, delivery was fast. We chose this place , because it was highly recommended. Beef soup and dumplings were great , fresh and really tasty. But spring rolls had suggy taste and smell like in old basement, we throw them away. May be we just not lucky today. Other time will be different.

Variety small however the quality and price makes up for it. By far best chicken balls we have ever had. All food really presented small batches, fresh, very good.

Finally! A decent Chinese buffet in Sudbury!

I have spent a lot of time searching for a good Chinese buffet in Sudbury! This one is awesome! Excellent food and service! I don’t usually base a review on chicken balls, but wow! I have avoided them for years.. usually a ball of breading with a piece of chicken waved over it. These are delicious! Fresh, tender chicken with just a thin layer of crispy coating! And the honey garlic spare ribs…. Usually they come as a mess of bone and gristle with a thin layer of something meat like. At this restaurant, they give you something to sink your teeth into! I could easily fill up on these! And the rest of the food was fantastic…. Don’t let the older setting of the building fool you.. my own kitchen is 50 years old, but I can produce some great food ( or so my wife, kids and grandkids tell me) A wonderful food experience that we will be returning to !

The beef was a little tough.

I live alone and I occasionally get delivery from Golden Palace. I’ve always been satisfied however today was horrible. I spent far too much money. My order was very neglected I ordered orange chicken, I got cut up breaded chicken balls, parts of which dried up with orange slices to cover the top. No orange sauce. Instead of orange sauce, I got sweet and sour but just sweet, no sour and very red in a container labeled orange with a marker, with an entire orange, not peeled or cleaned and with the black end still on just dumped in the sauce. There’s more, a friend had joined me and had ordered sweet and sour spareribs, every piece was just ends of the unchewable meat ready to be thrown out covered with their famous red sweet and sour sauce. Just sweet, no sour no taste, just sweet. Plus our egg rolls were greasy and limp. This is definately not the original owners. It used to be by far the best Chinese Restaurant in Northern Ontario. I am very upset and needless to say I will never order from them again and I’ll spread the word. This restaurant should be closed.

Small restaurant. But cozy. Buffet wasn't huge, but that allowed this place to keep up with fresh and hot food. I've never had wings this hot and fresh. But everything was refilled as it was needed. Staff was extremely friendly and inviting. This was my first visit.

The negative reviews are likely biased. I woukd strongly suggest trying them out. Buffet included the basic staples. But, there are a few dishes I haven't tried. I asked locals I work with and they all highly recommended this spot. A good Chinese Buffet is hard to find. This definitely hit the spot.

This restaurant is just as good as the old Sunwah was , if not better 😋 Highly recommend it . They also have great service. Sooo yummy 😋 you gotta try it 👍👍
