My son and I were on a little road trip through Ontario's countryside when we stumbled upon Dairy Lovers in Lucan – and let me tell you, it was the highlight of our adventure! This charming little ice cream shop, run by the absolutely wonderful Jetty, feels like a hidden gem tucked away in a quaint small town. Jetty's warm welcome made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in; she's got that genuine Dutch/Canadian kindness that turns strangers into friends in no time. Now, the ice cream – oh boy, it's hands down the best we've ever tasted! We tried the sundae and the razzle, and they were creamy, rich, and bursting with fresh ingredients. The sundae had just the right hint of sweetness. The shop itself is cozy and unpretentious, with a few outdoor tables perfect for enjoying the Ontario sunshine. Jetty even shared some local tips while scooping our treats, making the experience feel personal and special. If you're passing through Lucan or looking for a sweet detour, Dairy Lovers is a must-visit. Five stars aren't enough – this place is scooping up perfection! I took a slight detour to stop here after searching Google maps for an ice cream place with good reviews. Looked at their website, and read about the soft serve, and definitely had to try it. This was, hands down, the best soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had! I wanted seconds, but we had to hit the road ?
