What a great afternoon. We've been looking for a menu like this for a while here in Muskoka. I'm of German background and grew up on food like this. The veal was over the top. The serving is big so we'll be enjoying it again. Don't forget to try their deserts even if you're full, just take it home and enjoy there. I know we'll be going back soon. They have other dishes on the menu also foods I grew up. There foods are made in house with imported ingredients for the added flavour and truly done with care from the whole family, they love what they do. I don't know where to start! From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. It was packed, and we didn't have a reservation, but Chef Henrie's mom asked if we'd mind sitting at the bar, and honestly, it was the best spot in the house. We had a front-row seat to watch everyone working together. Franz, your beer pouring totally mesmerized me! Chef Henrie, we didn't get to meet you tonight, but your food is out of this world! What an amazing dinner, so fresh and delicious! This Bistro is such a gem! Next time, I'm definitely saving room for dessert!I Thank you so much! Auf wiedersehen! 😊

We came in without a reservation and they were still able to get us a table while they were extremely busy. Staff is very friendly and very fast. In no time we had ordered and our first courses already came out. Food was amazing and the price is really affordable. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone.

This past week i dined at chef henries, the food was amazing and service was fast and friendly. However, my dining experience was spoiled on account of who seems to be the owner of this restaurant. His attitude toward his staff was enough to make me lose my appetite, extremely bossy and demeaning. This is not how you treat your staff. Ruined my experience.

we had the pleasure of dining at chef henrie bistro & café in the town of mactier, near parry sound. because of the rain, we ventured there on a whim for lunch. it turned out to be a most memorable experience. my dad's of german descent and the meal exceeded his expectations. everything arrived at the table hot and at a wonderful pace, the portions were large, and the flavours, sumptuous. dad had the zigeuner schnitzel, I had the hunter, my husband had a schnitzel sandwich, and my kids ordered the leberkäse and fish & chips. the gentlemen enjoyed a favourite wheat beer, and the kids tried almdudler, a carbonated, herbal soda from austria which they loved. they had room for the house-made chocolate ice cream which was divine (we all tasted)! the decor was simple elegance, the lighting and ambience was very warm, and the spirit of the place was most welcoming. our waitstaff were personable and professional, as was our host and his wife. it was one of the loveliest meals we've enjoyed as a family in a long time. added bonuses: they were able to accommodate anaphylactic allergies and it was accessible (for dad). hats off to chef henrie for such a wonderful culinary experience, and to your parents for their incredible hospitality. we recommend chef henrie most highly, and look forward to our next visit!
