Chef Henrie is The King of Schnitzel in cottage country! Given my Hungarian/German background, there’s no place like Chef Henrie’s! My favourite dish is the Hunter Schnitzel, served with homemade mushroom sauce and a special egg noodle. Their desserts are home-made and authentically European. You won’t leave hungry, lol!

We drove up to Muskoka this weekend to meet friends; they suggested Henrie’s Bistro & Café for lunch - and what a delightful experience it was! Franz and Carly took such pride in the food they were serving, explaining ingredients used and making sure that all guests were looked after with a great level of attention to detail. We all ordered the Hunter Schnitzel, (with variations). The portions were very so generous, we even took some leftovers home… Being European, I made a few schnitzels in my life but I would come back to eat theirs! The Bienenstich and the Apfelstrudel were light and tasty - a perfect finish to a nice meal; for us both the service and the meals were real winners. It was such a pleasure hearing Franz’s family stories and we will be back for sure next summer. Thanks to the chef and all staff for making our meal very memorable!
