Madoc Dairy - Burnside's Casual Dining

Relieved to find this cafe while passing through Madoc recently on a mid Sunday afternoon, looking for a late lunch. Was almost afraid that I would have to go to Timmies or McDs, but Burnside's rescued us. Enjoyed a lovely milkshake and perfect western sandwichs (under $10 for real food!). Table service was a bit slow due to a very busy ice cream bar. Atmosphere woodsie but perfectly pleasant.

I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now I usually get the chicken wrap and my wife usually gets the 3 piece chicken with wedge fries, this restaurant is almost always kept very tidy the restroom very tidy as well and there's alot of different things on the walls to look

We went in, they told us to sit wherever we would like, they brought a menu and that was it. Nobody ever came to to table. One girl walked by us twice. We waited 15 min. Finally we just left. They didn’t even bother to try to talk to us when we left. I will not return

It's a cute mom n pop spot. Don't expect Michelin star cooking here. It's good food, though.I liked the chicken sandwich I got and fries,home fries mix. Very crispy and fresh!

We used to love it here but the last few times have been very disappointed! We have chicken burgers our last visit and the chicken was so hard I chipped a tooth! We went tonight and got burgers I specifically asked for plain I said on the phone multiple times as well as confirmed agian while picking up. We payed for one burger alone no fries or drink JUST the burger and they charged me $19 & some change! I was in shock and asked if this was correct for JUST the burger! She took $2 off and ended up paying $17 & some change only to get home with EVERTHING on burger! We thought we would give it another try but sadly not agian!

This place has a Chicken sandwich there that comes with out of this world potato wedges. I would say it is their signature dish. It is so good. It is worth the drive to Madoc and then some. I came from Oshawa to get it. Though I was in Belleville visiting a friend at the time we went. I will always go there for that sandwich any time I'm in the area. Soooo good and soooo worht it. I will have to take a picture next time of it and display it here.

Excellent service and best sandwich I have had in long time! The tomato basil soup was superb! The selection of baked goods was mouthwatering. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this eatery and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

It's pricey considering it's just ice cream for 2 small regular cones and 1 small cup of vanilla soft serve is was nearly $15. The service was great and the young lady was very patient with me as I was finding out the ingredients for the soft serve so my pups could have some. I'm have fond childhood memories of going to the dairy for ice cream after church on all Saturday night. I wish they would open up the window service again. All in all, the strawberry was delicious (I'd expect nothing less from Kawartha), the choco soft serve was enjoyed and my pups gave 4 paws up for the vanilla soft serve.
