I wish I could leave a better review for this place but after tonight’s service and quality, I will not be returning. I had called to place an order for pickup at around 6:20, and ordered 2 chicken fajitas, 2 quesadillas, and 3 broccoli soups for my family. I arrived there at around 6:45 to pick up my items, and a girl hands me only one bag. I thought this seemed strange as I had a big order so I asked if she was sure everything was in here, to which she answered yes. She then walks away and I am three steps and a hop away from my car before realizing that I didn’t pay, so I go back inside and it takes 5 minutes for someone to tell me where to cash out (which already was confusing because you have to pay at the bar for some reason). If I wasn’t a person with morals I would have absolutely ran off with whatever I had in hand. I then leave and 4 minutes away from home I receive a phone call from one of the managers telling me the staff had missed some items in my order, and that he was willing to deliver them to me and add in a free spinach dip. I understand that mistakes happen especially because they were so busy, and I appreciated that he wanted to deliver the items to make it right, so I say alright and give him my address. After 10 minutes he arrives and hands me my things, but once I’m back inside and he has already gone away, I realize that I am STILL missing things from my order (the quesadillas for the fajitas and a broccoli soup). I proceed to call again and let the other assistant manager know of the mishap to which he then tells me that he apologizes and that he can give me coupons for the restaurant to make up for it (which I have yet to receive, and it’s been 40 minutes). At this point I don’t want anyone coming to my house again with cold food so I say okay. I wish this could be the end of my troubles. The food was mediocre and you could tell that it was rushed. The soup was like green jell-o (if you shook the container it literally jiggled) and had an unpleasant, sour taste to it. The rice for the fajitas lacked any flavour whatsoever, and the “spinach dip” is just gross. For 140 dollars worth of food I would at least expect it to taste good, especially after having half of my meal missing. The managers and staff are friendly so I feel bad leaving such a nasty review, but this is quite ridiculous. This is also not the first time I’ve had a bad experience with this location, and I’m done giving it second chances. If you want to go to a Kelsey’s with quality and better service, I suggest going to Collingwood’s location.
