Following a recommendation we stopped for a late lunch and were very glad we did. Good range of options and very good drinks/sandwiches. It is however the pies that rightly command the main billing - delicious, hand made and a great range of flavours. We wished we had room to buy several for our onward journey.

We ordered ice cream, which was ok, not a huge portion. We also ordered 2 sandwiches to go, turkey and cranberry at ~$15 each. I know this place is in the middle of nowhere but this is very highly priced for the quality and amount of food we got. It came with chips (crisps) which by the time we ate them an hour later were soggy. Definitely need to lower price or provide a better sandwich. Pie was pretty decent, had it cold later. I probably would not return.

Best Pie in Alberta! I live nearly three hours away but make a couple trips annually to stock up on frozen pies to bake throughout the year! And better yet they also have gluten-free pie options! I do recommend calling ahead if you plan to head in to purchase a lot as this is a popular spot and these folks go through a lot of pie! Long lineups but it moves quickly as they employ a lot of staff. Superb selection of tasty treats BUT also have very hearty and delicious meal options! They also have a pay it forward board to gift a treat to someone special or a stranger. Right next door to the Beehive Artisans Market!

Passing through we stopped here. Have been before but it was closed. Grilled cheese & grilled ham & cheese 2 lattes and strawberry rhubarb Saskatoon pie. Both sandwiches were nice. Coffee was good Pie.....served with whipped cream was room temperature & could have been warmed a little more but tasted delicious. Service was great

This is a fantastic stop to grab breakfast or lunch! The food is great and it is wonderful to have gluten free options! I am very grateful to the friendly staff be able to also charge my phone - being a solo traveller it’s really important to be able to have access to power without feeling like I need permission or made to feel guilty, unlike the neighbouring business (shell). Thanks!

this was a great stop we did at least 3 times and had different pie each time. The gluten free berry was good too and a nice place to eat out at the side of the place. there is a line up each time and it took quite some time for take out but well worth the wait for good pie..this is a must stop the food that we saw at the tables looked good too

We stopped at the Miners Cafe out of the blue during our trip on the David Thompson Highway. We expected nothing and found this pearl of a small restaurant. We had two slices of fantastic pie, a tea and a lemonade. Wonderful. If you are in the near area, go and have a rest there! We would come here again anytime.

Stopped for lunch mid week. Place was busy but servers were very friendly, efficient. mom ordered pizza and they told us how long it would take and they were exactly right. I had cabbage roll soup and it was fabulous. The pie was described by many before and they were correct. Pie and ice cream the best. I had gluten free and you could not tell it wasn't the real thing. overall the best experience.

Driving on highway 11 from the mountains back towards Edmonton, we were looking for a place to have breakfast and came upon the Miners Cafe in Nordegg. We ordered lattes, a breakfast wrap and a breakfast croissant sandwich. All were delicious and good value. The place is open and airy with high ceilings and lots of windows. It’s very clean (the cafe and the bathrooms too) with cute tables and chairs and the staff are very friendly. Overall a wonderful experience. We will be back someday to try some of the other items on their menu. They have soups and sandwiches and lots of different pies and other desserts, all homemade.

We stopped in for breakfast last week while travelling up the Columbia Ice Fields Parkway ... it is a delightful spot. The coffee & lattes are excellent, the breakfast wrap and sandwiches are as well ... and ... the pie is wonderful .. A really nice stop in Nordegg

Great gem in Nordegg. Stopped for a quick lunch. The staff were very friendly. Enjoyed cabbage roll soup (tasty- had a bit of a bite), grilled cheese (just the right combination of cheese and bread) finished off with gluten free bumble berry pie with ice cream (they warmed it for us). This will be one of our regular stops as we pass by on the way to the mountains. Thank you)

We come to the Miner's Cafe every year, this time it was for lunch to celebrate my birthday. My husband and I had a wonderful meal in the cafe, with social distancing.....they took orders at a separate area in the lobby, behind a barrier. We also enjoy their gift shop and bought a little hand-painted card to take home. There are picnic tables outside, some under a shelter. Everyone was having a good time! Try this place, it's terrific! L

You cannot leave Miners Cafe without having a piece of pie or buying a few boxes of pies home. Their fruit pies are so thick and delicious, the best I have tasted in my many years of travel in Canada and overseas. Miners Cafe is the only cafe in Nordegg on Highway 11, a good rest stop for sandwiches and pies before you embark on your hiking trip to Crescent Falls or further on to Banff National Park.

My wife and I stopped here on the way home from Lake Louise. She has eaten here several times before, and was impressed. So am I. There is no table service due to COVID, so we ordered from the desk and they called us when ready. The taco salads were very good, as was the pie. I understand why my wife loves this restaurant!! Highly recommended!!
