The Marmora and Lake Inn B & B/ The Baron On 7 is a charming Victoria-style building with beautifully crafted rooms. Each item in the rooms is hand-picked and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the infrared sauna and fireplace in the pool area, and the owners are known for their warm hospitality, ensuring visitors "arrive as strangers and leave as friends." The restaurant offers a fantastic buffet with high-quality food at an affordable price, and the staff are friendly and professional. The kitchen is clean and conveniently located next to the party room, making it a great place for celebrations. Visitors often describe their experience as a great one, with loads of fun and top-notch service, making it a welcoming spot to return to.
While the interior of the dining room has a rustic and old-fashioned charm that might remind some of a grandmother’s house in the early 90s, the food more than makes up for it. The smash burger served here is particularly delicious — seasoned and full of flavor, it feels like a visit to a pub that specializes in smash burgers. The soup side is flavorful and not made from a can, adding to the tasty experience. The service is quick, though the wine menu is limited. Many guests find the food worth returning for, especially the smash burger, which they would order again. It’s suggested that offering a salad with the burger instead of soup could be a nice addition, as salads are inexpensive and could complement the meal well.
The place oozes antique charm, but towels and sheets could use a refresh. Despite some late-night reservation hassle, the owner handled it well. A bit more cleaning and updating would make the experience even better. The house itself is amazing, reminding visitors of childhood homes. From the warm greeting to the attentive service, the staff make guests feel welcome. The food is excellent, with Greek-themed meals served during special occasions. Overall, it’s a quiet area that provides a cozy, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
